RACE NO.1(130) –THE BOLD MARCH PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 11
At the request of Jockey K Nazil, his mount ETERNAL DANCER was examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. who certified the mare fit to race.
At the start, ON VA DANSER (App.P.S.Kaviraj, dr.7) jumped outwards and at the same time TANHAIYAAN (P.S.Chouhan,drawn-8) jumped inwards and they made contact.
Approaching the 150 metres, FLYING YODA (App Aniket Karande) was observed to have veered outwards thereby bumping and carrying GABBRIEL (T S Jodha) on to ETERNAL DANCER ( K Nazil). The Sr.V.O. reported that FLYING YODA stopped galloping just before the winning post.. The gelding was sore by the left fore leg and not able to bear weight on that leg. On X-Ray, it was found that there was a fracture of sesamoid bone, left fore. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, Jockey C S Jodha (PRIDE’S ANGEL) reported that his mount leaned inwards. The Sr.V.O. was requested to examine the gelding and he reported that PRIDE’S ANGEL was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, SAFDAR was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.2(131) –THE PICASSO PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 5
At the start, VENEZUELA (App P S Kaviraj) was observed to have jumped out awkwardly due to which App P S Kaviraj lost his stirrup which he regained shortly.
An objection was lodged by Jockey P.S.Chouhan, the rider of TIGRIO (Placed Second) against MAKHTOOB (C.S.Jodha, Placed First). The reason being, in the last 300 metres, MAKHTOOB shifted out and took his ground. Further, in the last 100 metres, MAKHTOOB came on to him, bumped and unbalanced his horse, due to which he lost a certain race.
After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgment, the Stewards upheld the objection and revised the order of placing as under:-
TIGRIO - FIRST; VENEZUELA - THIRD;
MAKHTOOB - SECOND; ATHULYA - FOURTH
Ater the race, Jockey C S Jodha (MAKHTOOB) reported that his mount hung out despite his efforts. Trainer S K Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures and show the gelding in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards, before next accepting to race.
After the race, MAKHTOOB was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(132) –THE DAYS BEST PLATE (DIV.I):: (About) 2000 Metres –Runners- 9
After the race, WIND WHISTLER was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
RACE NO.4(133) –THE PIONEER PLATE : (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 6
EMERALD (P S Chouhan) was slow to begin.
Passing the 300 metres, the reins of Jockey S.Zervan (PETRONIA) were observed to have slipped from his hands momentarily.
RACE NO.5(134) –THE HYDERABAD RACE CLUB TROPHY: (About) 2400 Metres – Runners - 7
WIZARD OF STOCKS (T.S.Jodha) jumped out slow losing about a length at the start.
After the race, GOLDEN ERA was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.6(135) –THE HUNT FOR GOLD PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 12
SUPREME BEING (Raghuveer Singh) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Ivor Fernandes has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Soon at the start, ABOUT THE CLOUD (App.M.S.Deora) shifted out thereby starting a chain reaction, due to which DIVIJA (R Ajinkya), LA PEREGRINA (App.Kirtish Bhagat) and GALLOPING STAR (Vishal N Bunde) were inconvenienced. App M S Deora was cautioned.
Approaching the 900 metres, ABOUT THE CLOUD (App M S Deora) shifted out thereby inconveniencing DIVIJA (R.Ajinkya).
Passing the 800 metres, DOWSABEL (App A S Peter) shifted in due to which LA PEREGRINA (App.Kirtish Bhagat) shied inwards and collided with the railing.
After the race, LA PEREGRINA was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
App Kirtish Bhagat has been fined Rs. 500/- for failing to dismount despite being told to do so since his mount LA PEREGRINA had bled .
After the race, SUPREME BEING was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.7(136) –THE PANCHSHIL BREEDERS’ PRODUCE STAKES (GR.3): (About) 1400 Mts – Runners-7
DRAGONESS (N.S.Parmar) was reluctant to reach the starting point thus delaying the start. Trainer M.K.Jadhav has been asked to ensure that next time the filly reaches the starting point in time .
After the race Jockey T S Jodha (SUCCESSION) reported the loss of whip at about 250 metres. This being his first instance during the current Mumbai Meeting 2020/21, no action has been initiated.
RACE NO.8(137) –THE DAYS BEST PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 2000 Metres – Runners - 9
At the request of Jockey R Ajinkya, his mount GOLD MEDALIST was examined by the Club’s Sr V.O. at the starting gate and certified fit to race.
SOCRATES (P.S.Chouhan) was reluctant to be stalled. In view of above and a similar behavior of the colt in the past, Trainer P.Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures and show his charge to the satisfaction of the Starter in a Mock Race, before next accepting to race.
Soon after the start, MANDEVILLE (Dashrath Singh) whipped around and dislodged the rider. In view of this behavior, Trainer P Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures and show his charge to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race, before next accepting to race.
The Sr. V.O. reported that BRAZOS was declared to run with bandages on both fore legs but ran without the bandages. Trainer M.K.Jadhav has been fined Rs.1,000/- for his lapse.
After the race, CORUS was found to be sore by the right hind leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, GOLD MEDALIST and MANDEVILLE were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.9(138) –THE BOLD MARCH PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 11
After the race, Jockey Kishore Kadam (RISING BRAVE) reported that his mount was fractious in the stall as such he lost his stirrup at the start which he regained shortly.
THUNDERCLAP ( P S Chouhan) was observed to be inclined outwards from the 300 metres. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
After the race, PULVERIZE was trotted and found to be sound. THUNDERCLAP had a gum injury.
RACE NO.10(139) –THE HUNT FOR GOLD PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 13
FLOWER POWER (App.P. S. Kaviraj) jumped out slow losing about 2 lengths at the start.
Soon after the start, ISINIT (Santosh G.) shifted out on to ISTANBUL (K.Nazil) forcing it outwards and at the same time LITTLE MORE (App.A.S.Peter) shifted in due to which STAR SINCERITY (App.Gagandeep Mann) who was racing in between, was tightened and had to be checked.
After the race, LITTLE MORE was trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the winner of the 1st, 6th and 10th race, viz. TANHAIYAAN, SUPREME BEING and WORLD IS ONE, and the urine and blood sample of MIRACLE & DRAGONESS (7th race), and the special sample of LA PEREGRINA (6th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

ADDITIONAL REPORTS:
RE : ENQUIRY INTO THE BREAKING DOWN OF ch f “NOBLE QUEEN” (Yash Narredu) IN RACE NO..66 – THE GOOL & SOLI POONAWALLA INDIAN 1000 GUINEAS (Gr.1) RUN ON SUNDAY, 3RD JANUARY, 2021 :
The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Sunday, 21st February, 2021 considered the evidence obtained by the Stipendiary Stewards in the above enquiry. The Stewards considered all the papers and proceedings before them and heard the submissions made by Tr.Deepseh Narredu/his spokesperson Ms Anita Khalakdina at length. They also heard Jockey Yash Narredu who rode NOBLE QUEEN in Race No.66 as also Dr.P.T.Khambatta, the Equine Hospital Vets and the Stipendiary Stewards and having deliberated the matter at length, the Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by Tr.Deepesh Narredu and held him guilty of gross negligence in the management of his duties as a Trainer. In that, by his own admission, he had taken an X-Ray of the both fore legs of the filly on 24th December, 2020 but did not see the X-Ray nor did he show the same to any practicing Vet and seek his view/advice before racing the filly in Race No.66. Therefore, the Stewards decided to suspend his Trainer’s licence for a period of 1 month i.e. w.e.f. 8th March, 2021 to 7th April, 2021 (both days inclusive) and to severely caution him for the future.
Further, as regards not maintaining his Medication Log Books properly, the Stewards noted that he had accepted his guilt and apologized for the same in front of them, hence they decided to fine him a sum of Rs.10,000/- for the same and warned him for the future.
