RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED AT THEIR ORIGINAL POSITION FROM 2000
METRES TO 1600 METRES, 2 METRES WIDE FROM 1400 METRES TO 1000 METRES, 3 METRES
WIDE AT 800 METRES, 4 METRES WIDE AT 600 METRES, 5 METRES WIDE AT 400 METRES. THEREAFTER 6 METRES WIDE UP TO THE WINNING POST. RAILS WERE
PLACED 5 METRES IN THE CHUTE.
RACE
NO.1 (24) – THE ASPINALLS PLATE: (ABOUT) 2000 METRES – RUNNERS - 6
At the
start, ESCONIDO (A. Sandesh, dr.5) jumped inwards
onto GOLDIVA (P. Trevor, dr.4) and had to be steadied.
Soon after
the start, TOOFAAN (App. S. Siddharth, dr.2) was
observed to have stumbled.
Approaching
the 300 metres, LEO THE LION (A. Prakash)
shifted in under the use of whip thereby bumping SILVER BRAID (App. Bharat
Singh). Jockey A. Prakash has been severely
cautioned.
After the
race, Jockey A. Prakash (LEO THE LION) reported that
his mount hung-in in the straight. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take
remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the
race, GOLDIVA was observed to have an injury on its right nostril.
After the
race, LEO THE LION was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE
NO.2 (25) – THE BUSHTOPS PLATE: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES – RUNNERS - 7
At the request of Trainer Aman Altaf Hussain, GODDES OF DAWN was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O.
at 10:30 a.m. on 2nd August 2025 at the stables and was found to be
sore by left hind with an injury on her stifle and left hind cannon. As such,
the mare was certified unfit to race, was permitted to be withdrawn on
veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next
accepting to race.
After the race, QUICKER & OPUS DEI were trotted and found to be
sound.
RACE
NO.3 (26) – THE INDIAN ASSOCIATION OF EQUINE PRACTITIONERS TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1600
METRES – RUNNERS - 11
On the way to the starting gates GIANT GOLD (Antony Raj S.) dislodged
its rider at about 2000 metres and bolted thereafter
the filly was apprehended near the winning post and on arrival at the starting
gates the filly was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O., who certified her fit to
race.
GIANT GOLD (Antony Raj S., dr.10) was reluctant to be stalled, Trainer Shazaan Shah has been asked to give his charge more gate
practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning
starting trails, before next accepting to race.
HEART (Yash Narredu,
dr.2) was fractious whilst saddling, the filly reared up and fell. On a request
from Trainer Deepesh Narredu
the filly was examined by the Club’s Sr. V. O. at the saddling enclosure and on
arrival at the starting gates and was certified fit to race.
LUCIO (C. Umesh, dr.8) was fractious in the stalls. Trainer Shazaan Shah has
been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the
satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trails, before next accepting
to race.
After the race, Jockey P. Trevor (PHANTASMIQUE) reported that the saddle
used on his mount had slipped. This being the first instance of faulty saddling during the current Pune Meeting 2025, Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait
has been fined Rs.2,000/-.
After the race, Jockey Bhawani Singh (HER
CHARGE) reported that his mount was running green throughout the race. Trainer Karthik Ganapathy has been asked to take
remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, Jockey Yash Narredu (HEART) reported that his mount was sluggish
throughout the race.
After the race, Jockey Nirmal Jodha (GOLD BAR) reported that his mount was running green
throughout the race. Trainer Nirad Karanjawala has been
asked to take remedial measures, before next
accepting to race.
Jockey A. Sandesh
(GOLDEN DANCER) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed
limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Pune Meeting 2025, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
After the
race, GIANT GOLD & HEART were trotted and found to be sound.
After the
race, LUCIO was observed to have an injury on its right fore
fetlock.
After the
race, PHANTASMIQUE was observed to have an injury on its left hind fetlock.
The Equine
Hospital reported that SUPERSTAR had a right eye injury (sore) with ulcer.
RACE
NO.4 (27) – THE MOOSA M. HOOSEIN TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 7
At the request of Trainer Dallas Todywalla,
FIELD OF DREAMS was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at 10:15 a.m. on 2nd
August 2025 at the stables and was found to be sore by right fore and had a
painful swelling on the tendon. As such, the filly was certified unfit to race,
was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by
Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
SINGER
SARGENT (C. Umesh, dr.1) lost about three lengths at
the start.
Soon after
the start, FORTUNATE SON (Prashant P. Dhebe) jumped inwards at the same time ARDAKAN (A. Sandesh) jumped outwards and they made contact.
Soon after
the start PRIDE’S PRINCE (Antony Raj S.) racing between RAMBLER and CELESTIAL
was tightened for room and had to be steadied.
RACE
NO.5 (28) – THE JSK1 BEST ODDS EVE CHAMPION TROPHY (Grade
3): (ABOUT) 2000 METRES – RUNNERS - 5
At the request of Trainer Aman Altaf Hussain, EVALDO was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at 10:30
a.m. on 3rd August 2025, at the stables and was found to have a
painful swelling on its left fore tendon. As such,
the gelding was certified unfit to race, was permitted to be withdrawn on
veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next
accepting to race.
EL GRECO (Neeraj Rawal, dr.5) lost about
five lengths at the start, Trainer P. S. Chouhan has been asked to give his charge more gate
practice and show his charge to the satisfaction of the starter at morning
starting trails, before next accepting to race.
After the race, DREAM ALLIANCE was trotted and found to
be sound.
The Equine
Hospital reported that ARKADIAN had a left eye injury (sore) with ulcer.
The Equine

RACE
NO.6 (29) – THE ANIMAL WELFARE BOARD OF INDIA TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES –
RUNNERS - 13
REMY RED (T. S. Jodha, dr.1) lost about a
length at the start.
STAR ROMANCE (S. A. Amit, dr.6) lost about a
length at the start.
Soon after the start, VINCERO (App. Aditya Waydande) shifted in onto STAR IMPACT (D. R. Shubham) who in turn shifted in thereby tightening DADDY’S
BLESSINGS (App. Haridas Gore) along the rails causing
the latter to check and drop back.
Passing the 1300 meters, MRIGA (Prashant P. Dhebe) shifted in onto VINCERO (App. Aditya
Waydande) who in turn shifted in thereby tightening
STAR IMPACT (D. R. Shubham) along the rails causing
the latter to check and drop back. Jockey Prashant P.
Dhebe has been fined Rs.2,000/-.
Passing 1100 metres, ZEPHYR (App. Bharat
Singh) shifted in and went across STAR IMPACT (D. R. Shubham)
causing the latter to clip the former and stumble thereby unbalancing its
rider. After questioning and not being satisfied, App. Bharat Singh has been
suspended for one race day i.e. on 24th August 2025 (permitted to
ride work/mock race).
Approaching the 600 metres, STAR ROMANCE (S.
A. Amit) shifted in and went across MENJOU’S
MOUSTACHE (App. Ramswarup). Jockey S. A. Amit has been cautioned.
Approaching the 500 metres, VINCERO (App. Aditya Waydande) shifted out
thereby bumping and boring MRIGA (Prashant P. Dhebe) who had to be steadied. In view of the interferences
caused during the race, App. Aditya Waydande has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
After the race, Jockey S. A. Amit (STAR
ROMANCE) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight, despite his efforts.
After the race, the gelding was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at the stables
and was found to be sore by left fore. As such, the gelding has to be passed
fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, MRIGA was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is
not permitted to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. As such, the
filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the
race, VINCERO was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE
NO.7 (30) – THE UNICORN PLATE: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 6
At the request of Trainer Narendra Lagad, NORTHERN SINGER was
examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at 05:30 p.m. on 30th July 2025, at
the stables and was found to be tied up. As such, the mare was certified unfit
to race, was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds and has to be
passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
On arrival at the starting gates at the request of Jockey S. Mosin, LYOZ CHANNETTE was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O.
and was found to be sore by right fore. As such, the mare was permitted to be
withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under the Starters order and has
to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, COIN EMPRESS &
UNTITLED were trotted and found to be sound.

The urine and blood samples of the ESCONIDO (Winner – 1st
race), ARDAKAN (Winner – 4th race), DREAM ALLIANCE (Winner – 5th
race), DUKE OF TUSCANY (2nd place – 5th race) &
CHELSEA (Winner – 6th race), and the special samples of VINCERO (6th
race), were collected for detection of prohibited substances.

ADDITIONAL REPORTS:
RE: MOCK RACE HELD ON
3RD AUGUST 2025.
DIVINE HOPE stopped galloping approaching the 600 metres.
The colt was subjected to veterinary examination and found to be sore by left
hind. As such the colt has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next
accepting to race.
