RACE DAY REPORTS

RAILS WERE PLACED AT THE ORIGINAL POINT

 

RACE NO.1 (45) – THE EAU DE VIE PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – 8 Runners

 

After being stalled, CAIELIN (A. Sandesh) rushed the front gates, as such, the gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s V.O. who certified him fit to race.

 

At the start, SMART VISION (Bhawani Singh, dr. 8) was slow to begin and thereafter drifted out wide and finished the race on the outer railing. Trainer Karthik G. has been asked to take remedial measures and to show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in two mock races, before next accepting to race.

 

Approaching 1000 metres, CAIELIN (A. Sandesh) shifted out and made contact with MILWALKEE (T. S. Jodha), who in turn went on to HIT IT A BOMB (S. Zervan).

 

Approaching 100 metres, CAIELIN (A. Sandesh) weakened and shifted in thereby tightening MADEIRA (Neeraj Rawal) along the rails.

 

After the race, Jockey S. Zervan (HIT IT A BOMB) reported that his mount hung in throughout the race. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

After the race, CAIELIN & HIT IT A BOMB were trotted and found to be sound. CAIELIN had a gum injury.

 

RACE NO.2 (46) – THE RAJARAM CHHATRAPATI TROPHY: (About) 1800 Metres – 7 Runners

 

The Sr. V.O. reported that HELPING HAND (J. Chinoy) stopped galloping before the winning post and was observed to be sore by the right fore leg. First Aid treatment was administered immediately on the track and the mare was sent to the Equine Hospital by the Horse Ambulance for further management. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, SEVERUS was observed to have a bruise at the right hind fetlock.

 

RACE NO.3(47)  – THE ENLIGHTENMENT PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – 9 Runners

 

FINEST MOMENT (Bhawani Singh) jumped out slow, losing about 2 lengths at the start.

 

At the start, STAR SCHOLAR (Shrikant Kamble, dr. 7) jumped inwards and made contact with DAYDREAMER (S. Zervan, dr.6), who in turn shifted in on to EIGER’S TIGER (Dashrath Singh, dr.5).

 

Soon after the start, .BOOK THIEF (P. Trevor) shifted out on to EIGER’S TIGER (Dashrath Singh), who in turn shifted out and made contact with DAYDREAMER (S. Zervan).

 

RACE NO.4 (48) – THE NAWAB & BEGUM FAIYAZ HUSAIN TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres –  9 Runners

 

At the start, SHIVALIK SHINE (Yash Narredu, dr. 6) jumped outwards, due to which LUCKY PINEAPPLE (A. Sandesh, dr. 7) shied outwards and at the same time FINAL ENCOUNTER (R. Ajinkya, dr.9) shifted in, due to which DRAMARAMA (N. B. Kuldeep, dr.8) had to be checked.

 

At the start, ZANA (J. Chinoy, dr.3) jumped outwards on to FAST LADY (N. S. Parmar, dr. 4).

 

Soon after the start, FINAL ENCOUNTER (R. Ajinkya) shifted in on to LUCKY PINEAPPLE (A. Sandesh) inconveniencing the latter. Jockey R. Ajinkya has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

Approaching 700 metres, LUCKY PINEAPPLE (A. Sandesh) shifted in thereby tightening CHARGING TIGRESS (D. S. Daman) along the rails. Jockey A. Sandesh has been cautioned.

 

Passing 200 metres, LUCKY PINEAPPLE (A. Sandesh) shifted in thereby inconveniencing ZANA (J. Chinoy) who was racing along the rails.

 

Passing 200 metres, DRAMARAMA (N. B. Kuldeep) shifted in and went across VALENTINO (Dashrath Singh) who had to be steadied. Jockey N. B. Kuldeep has been cautioned.

 

After the race, Jockey R. Ajinkya (FINAL ENCOUNTER) reported that approaching the 100 metres his reins slipped and he had to gather the same.

 

After the race, ZANA and LUCKY PINEAPPLE were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5(49)  – THE EAU DE VIE PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – 9 Runners

 

RICARDUS (R. Ajinkya) was restless in the stall and not allowing the rider to settle. Trainer S. K. Sunderji has been asked to give the colt more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Approaching 800 metres, SHOGUN (Towfeeq R. Shaikh) shifted in and went across AMICUS CURIAE (Dashrath Singh) forcing the latter to be checked. Jockey Towfeeq R. Shaikh has been cautioned.

 

Passing 200 metres, ESPRESSO (Suraj Narredu) shifted in and went across AMICUS CURIAE (Dashrath Singh) who had to be checked. On questioning, Jockey Suraj Narredu stated that his mount hung in under pressure.

 

The saddle used on ESPRESSO (Suraj Narredu) was observed to have slipped during the race. Trainer Nazak Chenoy has been fined Rs.2,000/- for faulty saddling.

 

RACE NO.6(50)  – THE PRA INDEPENDENCE MILLION: (About) 2000 Metres – 18 Runners

 

SHE’S AN ACE (C. S. Jodha) and RITZ (Santosh G.) jumped out slow, losing about 5 lengths each, at the start. Trainers Faisal A. Abbas and Imtiaz A. Sait have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Approaching 1400 metres, SAVAGE BEAUTY (D. S. Daman) shifted in on to FLASHING HONOUR (David Breux), who in turn shifted in thereby tightening PALATIAL (Amyn Merchant) along the rails, forcing Jockey Amyn Merchant to check his mount and drop back. Jockey D. S. Daman has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

Passing 1400 metres, LORD ARAZAN (Yash Narredu) shifted out thereby inconveniencing GLORIOUS HYMN (Kavraj Singh). Jockey Yash Narredu has been cautioned.

 

After the race, Jockey R. Ajinkya (ATALYA) reported that passing the 400 metres his reins slipped and he had to gather the same. Jockey R. Ajinkya has been cautioned.

 

Passing 200 metres, VITESSE (J. Chinoy) shifted in thereby tightening STARRY MOMENT (T. S. Jodha) along the rails.

 

After the race, Jockey Suraj Narredu (JOSS) reported that his mount stumbled approaching the 200 metres.

 

After the race, SAVAGE BEAUTY was observed to have a cut injury at the left fore cannon and CENTAURUS had an injury at the right nostril. PALATIAL, DANSE DEBONAIRE and RITZ were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7 (51) – THE NAWAB & BEGUM FAIYAZ HUSAIN TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – 9 Runners

 

At the start, CLOUDS OF GLORY (Towfeeq R. Shaikh, dr. 7) and FRANKEST (Neeraj Rawal, dr. 6) shifted in and out respectively and made contact.

 

Passing 200 metres, FRANKEST (Neeraj Rawal) shifted in thereby inconveniencing BEACH GAME (App. S. Jaykumar). Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been cautioned.

 

After the race, CHAMPAGNE was observed to have a bruise at the right hind coronet.

 

RACE NO.8 (52) – THE  BRUNELLO PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – 14 Runners

 

FAST FUTURE (Dashrath Singh) was fractious and thereafter started lashing out after being stalled, as such, the mare was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order.  PRETTY ANGEL (S. Joseph) and MAJESTIC HONEY (C. S. Jodha) jumped out slow, losing about 4 lengths each, at the start. Trainers Narendra Lagad, Karthik G and Himmat Singh have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, POLLYANA (R. Shelar, dr. 3) jumped outwards and made contact with RARE SILVER (App. Raghuveer Singh, dr. 5).

 

Passing 1000 metres, PRISTINA (J. Chinoy) veered outwards and went across LAS SALINAS (Zameer Sayyed). On questioning, Jockey J. Chinoy stated that his horse was keen and he had shifted out to avoid clipping the front runners.

 

After the race, BE COOL was observed to have a bruise at the right hind coronet.

 

RACE NO.9(53)  – THE TRUE ELEGANCE PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – 10 Runners

 

RED FORT (App. Parbat Singh) was fractious and refused to be stalled, as such, the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. Trainer Magansingh P. Jodha has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to  the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Jockey A. Sandesh (DAZZLING DANCER) was observed to have dropped his hands before passing the winning post thereby loosing a certain Second Place. After questioning Jockey A. Sandesh and not being satisfied with the explanation tendered, his Jockey’s license has been suspended w.e.f. 3rd September, 2016 to 4th September, 2016 (both days inclusive) (permitted to ride work/mock race).

 

After the race, IN MY LIFE was observed to have a gum injury. Also, the mare had an injury at the right nostril. DAZZLING DANCER was trotted and found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winners of all races viz. EL TYCOON, (1st race), COMMODORE (2nd race), ZANZIBAAR (3rd race), SHIVALIK SHINE (4th race), ADELINE (5th race), SENTOSA COVE (6th race), CHAMPAGNE (7th race), PRISTINA (8th race)  and MY FREEDOM (9th race), and the special sample of CAIELIN (1st race) and DAZZLING DANCER (9th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

ADDITIONAL REPORT/S:

 

RE : MOCK RACE HELD ON 15TH AUGUST, 2016 :

 

The Sr. V.O. reported that on a request from Tr. M. Narredu, AVALANCHE was scoped at the Club’s Equine Hospital after the Mock Race on 15th August, 2016 and found to have EIPH (Gr.III). The filly is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
