RACE NO.1(198) – THE ROEDL & PARTNER TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – 10 Runners
IN MY LIFE (Zameer Sayyed) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer S.S.Shah has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
At the start, FLYNN (Kavraj Singh) hung outwards. Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
At the start, SPANISH SAGA (Neeraj Rawal) hung outwards and caused interference to SOFIA (N.S.Parmar) and STAR STUDDED (I.Pasha) who in turn went on to SAIL PAST (Darren Williams). Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
At the start, CHASE THE ACE (P.Trevor) shifted out as the gelding was being settled and carried JUST MY STYLE (D.A.Naik) outwards. Jockey P.Trevor has been cautioned.
Passing 400 metres, IN MY LIFE (Zameer Sayyed) leaned inwards, due to which the gap available to SAIL PAST (Darren Williams) was closed, as a result SAIL PAST was inconvenienced.
After the race, FLYNN, SAIL PAST and SPANISH SAGA were found to be sound.
RACE NO.2(199) – THE VINAYAK TROPHY : (About) 1600 Metres – 10 Runners
Soon after the start, VOICE OF FAITH (S.Mosin) commenced to lug-out, and near 1000 metres hung-out badly and drifted to the outer rails and finished the race likewise. In view of this and the colt’s similar behaviour in its previous runs, Trainer S.S.Shah has been asked to take remedial measures and to show the colt to the satisfaction of Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race, before next accepting with him to race.
Jockey A.Sandesh (MAALIK) reported that his mount lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Sanjay Kolse has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
After the race, VOICE OF FAITH was found to be sound, but having a cut injury at the right fore pastern. STAR PRINCE and DONATA were found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(200) – THE PUNE POLICE COMMISSIONER’S TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – 7 Runners
MAMBO MAGIC was withdrawn on compassionate grounds.
Trainer Nirad Karanjawala has been fined Rs.1,000/- for using a snaffle bit on his charge GLORIA without prior permission.
NATURE BOY (P.Trevor) and TARGETMASTER (Dashrath Singh) lugged-in in the straight. Trainers M.K.Jadhav and Imtiaz A.Sait have been asked to take remedial measures with their respective charge, before next accepting with them to race.
SILSILA (Kavraj Singh) was held up for a run on a few occasions, while racing on the inside of BASIC LIFE (S.G.Prasad). Jockey S.G.Prasad has been fined Rs. 2,000/-.
After the race, SHEER ROMANCE was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
After the race, BASIC LIFE was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind bulb of heel. NATURE BOY, GLORIA and TARGETMASTER were found to be sound.
RACE NO.4(201) – THE VOLKSWAGEN INDIA TROPHY: (About) 2400 Metres – 8 Runners
YODHA SHAKTI (Kavraj Singh) was restless in the stall and not allowing the rider to settle. Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to race.
STARRY MOMENT (N.S.Parmar) was also restless in the stall and not allowing the rider to settle. Since the filly had behaved in a similar manner in its previous run, Trainer Altamaash A.Ahmed has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter in a Mock Race, before next accepting with her to race.
Near 100 metres, STARRY MOMENT (N.S.Parmar) shifted-out and took the running of MAGIC VISION (App.Yash Narredu) who clipped the heels of the former and stumbled. Jockey N.S.Parmar has been cautioned.
When questioned, Jockey D.K.Ashish (ATTRACTION) stated that after the start his horse became very keen, possibly since he was running with Blinkers for the first time, and took a long lead although he did not push the horse.
After the race, STARRY MOMENT and ATTRACTION were found to be sound.
RACE NO.5(202) – THE JIMMY UMRIGAR TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – 10 Runners
STALWART was withdrawn on compassionate grounds.
SAPORELLI (App.Yash Narredu) was reluctant to reach the starting point. Trainer Zadmal Singh has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
THEORY (S.Mosin) jumped out awkwardly throwing its head, thus losing about 3 lengths at the start. Trainer Nirad Karanjawala has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
At the start, SECRET OATH (S.Sunil) jumped awkwardly and shifted-out and took the running of THEORY (S.Mosin), who had also jumped awkwardly throwing its head.
Jockey P.S.Chouhan (ALETA) reported that his mount ran green.
After the race, ATOMIC was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
After the race, EDUARDO was found to be sound.
RACE NO.6(203) – THE NOSHIR & DOLLY DHUNJIBHOY SPRINT MILLION: (About) 1200 Metres – 5 Runners

RACE NO.7(204) – THE NANOLI STUD PUNE DERBY (GR.I): (About) 2000 Metres – 11 Runners
Near 300 metres, MAISHA (P.Trevor) shifted out to progress in the race and in the process jostled with ZACHARY (Akshay) who was unbalanced and came back on MAISHA. Jockey P.Trevor has been fined Rs.5,000/-.
After the race, THE MYTH was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, ZACHARY was observed to have an abrasion at the left hind pastern and QUASAR had a cut injury at the left hind pastern.
ZACHARY (Akshay) was placed fifth and GRENADINE (P.S.Chouhan) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.
RACE NO.8(205) – THE SIR SULTAN CHINOY TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – 9 Runners
HAWKER (D.K.Ashish) lost about 5 lengths at the start. Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
At the start, BRAVE VISION (App.S.Joseph) jumped out awkwardly, whereby the jockey lost his balance.
Near 1000 metres, BRAVE VISION (App.S.Joseph) shifted-in and took the running of ULTRASONIC (Dashrath Singh), whereby ULTRASONIC clipped the heels of BRAVE VISION and stumbled. App.S.Joseph has been suspended for 16th November, 2014 for Careless Riding (Permitted to ride work / Mock race).
Passing 400 metres, ULTRASONIC (Dashrath Singh) leaned inwards, due to which ONE KEPT SECRET (P.Trevor) was tightened for room.
Near 300 metres BRAVE VISION (App.S.Joseph) put in an awkward stride and was unbalanced, and at the same time, ONE KEPT SECRET (P.Trevor) shifted ground inwards, as a result BRAVE VISION was tightened.
Jockey Kavraj Singh (FORTUNE HUNTER) reported that his mount lugged-in in the straight. Trainer S.Mangalorkar has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
RACE NO.9(206) – THE PUNE POLICE COMMISSIONER’S TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – 8 Runners
YOU’RE THE BOSS (J.Chinoy) brushed the gates while being stalled and sustained a cut injury on the right quarter. The gelding was examined by the Club’s V.O. who certified him unfit to race, as such, YOU’RE THE BOSS was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. The Trainer is required to obtain a fitness certificate for the gelding from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting with him to race.
At the start, PEPE SENIOR (P.S.Chouhan) fly-jumped.
After the race, ORIENTAL ROCKY was observed to have lost its left fore plate. TITLEIST (examined on 13/10/2014) was found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 2nd, 4th, 6th, 7th and 9th race viz. MISS PEARL, AL SHAMSHEER, DANCING PRANCES, QUASAR and PEPE SENIOR, as also that of DANCING PHOENIX & DÉJÀ VU (6th race) and MAISHA, SHIVALIK STORM and TATIANA (7th race), and the special sample of EDUARDO (5th race) and THE MYTH (7th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
