RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES (MILE CHUTE) LEADING TO 2 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES AND THEREAFTER 3 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST. FOR THE RACES RUN AT THE BACK STRETCH, RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1200 METRES LEADING TO 3 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.
On a request from Trainer M. K. Jadhav, permission was granted to Trainer A. M. Jadhav to saddle his charge BRAZOS in the 4th race, at his own (Trainer M. K. Jadhav's) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer S. Ganapathy, permission was granted to Trainer Karthik Ganapathy to saddle his charge MAGISTERO in the 5th race, at his own (Trainer S. Ganapathy's) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(173) -THE FLAREON PLATE : (About) 1200 Metres - Runners - 8
At the start, MEMORABLE EYES (App. P. S. Kaviraj, dr.3) jumped outwards and made contact with BETWEEN FRIENDS (App. A. S. Peter, dr.4).
At the start, BRAVE (Dashrath Singh, dr.6) jumped outwards, made contact with GUARNERIUS (A. Sandesh, dr.7) and was steadied.
Approaching 200 metres, STEPPENWOLF (App. A. Prakash) shifted in on to BETWEEN FRIENDS (App. A. S. Peter) who had to be steadied. After the race, App. A. Prakash reported that his mount hung-in in the straight. Trainer Nosher Cama has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the horse.
After the race, GUARNERIUS was found to be sore by the left fore leg. Also, the gelding had an injury at the left fore inner bulb of heel. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club's V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, BRAVE, MEMORABLE EYES and STEPPENWOLF (examined on 09/03/2020) were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.2(174) - THE MULRAJ GOCULDAS TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres - Runners - 5
After the race, App. K. Nazil (TEXAS GOLD) reported that passing the 300 metres the reins had slipped out of his hand which he regained soon thereafter. In view of the same, App. K. Nazil has been cautioned.
After the race, AUGUSTUS CAESAR was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(175) - THE R.J.KOLAH TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres - Runners - 8
After the race, ARCADIA was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.4(176) - THE JAYARAMDAS PATEL GOLD TROPHY: (About) 2000 Metres -Runners- 5
After the race, BENEVOLENCE was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.5(177) - THE C.N.WADIA GOLD CUP (GR.2): (About) 2400 Metres - Runners - 4 - NO REPORT
RACE NO.6(178) - THE INDIAN NAVY TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres - Runners - 7
On arrival at the start, TAR HEEL was examined by the Club's Sr. V.O. at the request of the Jockey and was certified fit to race.
In the process of being backed in, TAR HEEL reared up and fell backward dislodging the rider. The gelding was again examined by the Club's Sr. V.O. who certified him fit to race. Thereafter, TAR HEEL refused to be stalled despite substantial efforts, as such, the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter's order. Trainer Shazaan Shah has been asked to take remedial measures and show the gelding in a Mock Race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting with him to race.
Approaching 600 metres, WESTERN FRONT (David Egan) was observed to have jostled with TIMELESS DEEDS (Dashrath Singh). Thereafter, WESTERN FRONT shifted out thereby inconveniencing TIMELESS DEEDS. Jockey David Egan has been fined Rs. 2,000/-.
Passing 200 metres, WESTERN FRONT (David Egan) leaned inwards on to POLYNEICES (P. S. Chouhan) and was steadied.
After the race, TIMELESS DEEDS was trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the winner of the 1st, 3rd and 6th viz. ENID BLYTON, LA TESTE and BARACK, and the urine and blood sample of VULCAN & MAGISTERO (Winner and Second Placed - 5th Race), and the special sample of ARCADIA (3rd race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
