RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED 5 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1200 METRES (MILE CHUTE) UP TO THE WINNING POST. FOR THE RACES RUN AT THE BACK STRETCH, RAILS WERE PLACED 3 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES LEADING TO 5 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.
RACE NO.1(140) –THE BEJAN BHARUCHA PLATE : (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 7
Tr.P.Shroff has been fined Rs.1,000/- for bringing his charge THE BAWAJI (App.Aniket Karande) in the paddock sporting a Tongue Strap, an equipment for which no prior permission was obtained. The Tongue Strap was removed before the gelding left the paddock.
SOPHISTOCRAT (C.S.Jodha) jumped and veered out and thereafter ran detached from the field. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race, before next accepting to race.
After the race, HIOCTANE was trotted and found to be sound
RACE NO.2(141) –THE R.N.KANGA TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 7
After the race, GRAND ACCORD was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, AUGUSTUS CAESAR was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, FLYING VISIT and TROUVAILLE were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(142) –THE SION F. NESSIM PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres –Runners- 7
On the way to the start, RAMBLER (A.Sandesh) dislodged its rider and bolted and ran the entire course. As such, the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order.
At the start, GALLOPING GOLDMINE (C.S.Jodha, dr.3) jumped and ducked outwards and in the process Jockey C.S.Jodha lost his stirrups which he regained soon. Due to this incident OUI SAUVAGE (S.Zervan, dr.4) was inconvenienced. Trainer S.K. Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
From the 300 metres, MAJESTIC WARRIOR (App.P.S.Kaviraj) was observed to have shifted out thereby carrying PRINCESS ANNABEL (N.S.Parmar) outwards. App.P.S.Kaviraj has been cautioned.
App.P.S. Kaviraj MAJESTIC WARRIOR reported the loss of whip approaching the 200 metres. This being his second instance during the current Mumbai Meeting 2020/21, he has been fined Rs.2,000/-.
After the race, PRINCESS ANNABEL was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
RACE NO.4(143) –THE MANIFOLD PLATE : (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 11
LUMINOSITY (S.A.Amit) took a fly jump.
At the start, MS BOSS (A.Sandesh, dr.7) jumped outwards and at the same time SACHERTORTE (Vishal N. Bunde, dr.9) leaned inwards thereby tightening SALTBAE (App.A.S.Peter, dr.8).
Soon after the start, JETFIRE (App.Gagandeep Mann) shifted out, at the same time MS BOSS (A.Sandesh) shifted in thereby brushing the haunches of the former and then shifted out thereby tightening SALTBAE (App.A.S.Peter) causing the latter to be checked. App Gagandeep Mann and Jockey A Sandesh have been cautioned.
In the final stages of the race, GRAND ARCHITECT (M.Ayyar) shifted in thereby inconveniencing SACHERTORTE (Vishal N.Bunde). Jockey M Ayyar has been severely reprimanded.
In the final stages of the race, JETFIRE (App.Gagandeep Mann) was denied a clear passage.
After the race, SALTBAE and PLEIADES were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.5(144) –THE Y.M. CHAUDHRY TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 8
At the start, MEDORA (P.S.Chouhan, dr.4) jumped outwards and at the same time THE AWAKENING (T.S.Jodha, dr.6) jumped inwards due to which RASPUTIN (A.Sandesh, dr.5) was tightened.
After the race, Jockey P.Trevor (MOGUL) reported that approaching the 200 metres his reins slipped momentarily.
After the race, FLYING SCOTSMAN was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.6(145) –THE V.P. KOREGAONKAR PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 12
TRIDENT (M.S.Deora) jumped out slow losing about 2 lengths at the start.
Soon after the start, DILBAR (S.A.Amit) shifted in and went across DECAPRIO (P.S.Chouhan) who had to be checked. On being questioned after the race, Jockey S.A.Amit stated that his mount shied inwards despite his efforts. Tr. H.J.Antia has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.
Passing the 1000 metres, FASSBINDER (S. Zervan) shifted in and brushed the haunches of DILBAR (S.A.Amit). Jockey S.Zervan has been cautioned.
Passing the 900 metres, VINCENZO (A.Sandesh) shifted in and went across UNTITLED (D.R.Shubham) causing the latter to be checked. Jockey A.Sandesh has been cautioned
Approaching the 300 metres, FASSBINDER (S.Zervan) shifted out thereby carrying DEPCAPRIO (P.S.Chouhan) outwards on to MYRCELLA (H.Zeeshan). Thereafter, FASSBINDER shifted in and bumped DILBAR (S.A.Amit) who had to be steadied. In view of this erratic behavior, Tr Vishal Gaikwad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
After the race, FASSBINDER was trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the winner of the 2nd & 3rd race, viz. VICTORIOUS SERMON and RAMBUNCTIOUS were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

RE : MORNING TRACK WORK ON 28TH FEBRUARY, 2021:
The Sr. V.O. reported that GLOBAL APPLAUSE was observed to have broken a blood vessel after morning track work on 28th February, 2021 and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
