Happy Days back on the Turf
If one were to go by the bonhomie witnessed between Southern Command’s chief and members of the RWITC on Saturday evening, it appeared happy days are here again at least for the turf club’s management. After burying their hatchet over the Pune Race Course land, Lt Gen A K Singh (extreme right in first pic), General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command was spotted enjoying a game of cycle polo at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse. The event was hosted by Raj Shroff (extreme left in the first pic), RWITC’s current managing committee member Ram Shroff’s twin brother. RWITC chairman Vivek Jain is reported to have exchanged pleasantries with the army commander after the polo match concluded. Earlier in the day, former RWITC chairman and current committee member K N Dhunjibhoy had a cordial meeting with Brigadier M S Jaswal, Pune’s LMA where the latter assured that they will try to sort out their differences with RWITC in the coming days
