Posted on - 02 Mar 2016

Nick Addison – Victoria Racing Club

“Just wanted to send a quick note of thanks and congratulations to you on a most successful conference. I enjoyed the conference and the experience of Mumbai. Well done to you and your team - working in event management myself I know these things don't just happen and they take an enormous amount of work, so thank you for making everything so smooth.”

Jim Ramsay – Producer & Director, Channel Four Racing

“Thank you very much for a marvelous week at The 36th Asian Horse Racing Conference. It was a great pleasure to meet you and I am extremely grateful for your kindness as well as

support every week leading up to The Conference. I hope that you could enjoy the week despite the exceptional hard work that you must have undertaken every minute. It was certainly a privilege and honour for me to speak at your Conference.”

Jocelyn de Moubray – Author, South Africa

“Just a quick note to thank you for all of your help last week. It was a great pleasure to come to the conference. I enjoyed my chance to speak and to meet and listen to some many others from all over the world.

I don't have a huge experience of such things, but I doubt very much whether earlier ARC's have been as well organised, and such fun to attend.

Thank you again for inviting me to the conference and helping me to present my case.”

Trish Egan – Director, Australian Turf Club

“Just a note to say how nice it was to make contact at last week's event and to congratulate you again on a really well organised conference.”

Jeremy Seel – Delegate and past exhibitor

“What an amazing Conference you managed to pull off last week, it really was enjoyed by all and I am sure was excellent for the racing industry, I certainly found the sessions most interesting.”

Ronan Murphy

“I would also like to sincerely thank you, Dr.Cyrus Poonawalla and the Organising Committee for coordinating such a successful and memorable Asian Racing Conference. It was a privilege to participate in this event and it was particularly pleasing to discuss the breeding industry with our colleagues in the racing sector.

This was my first visit to India and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The welcome and hospitality extended was unforgettable. I have spoken with a number of international colleagues since my return and their views, like mine, are extremely positive. The programme was informative and of a high quality and provided an excellent forum for discussing several important topics which impact the global thoroughbred racing and breeding industries.”

Johnny Weatherby –Ascot Authority

“You did a brilliant job and the organisation was top notch. Not easy I am sure!”

Howard Wright – Racing Post UK

“Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to attend another highly successful  ARC.

I thought after Hong Kong 2014 it would be hard, if not impossible, to reach the same level of interest in ARC's business sessions, but in the event Hong Kong set the standard for Mumbai, where the breadth of information that the whole organising team managed to achieve was extraordinary.”

Simon Rowlands – Timeform

“The Conference was a tremendous event, and a real pleasure to attend. I know it must have taken a huge amount of organising, and great credit must go to you and your team for ensuring the smooth running from start to end.”

Jane Wallace – Accompanying Person’s Tours’

“Firstly, I would like to say that it was all hugely enjoyable. The guides were terrific and a special word for Aroo (sp?) who was my group’s guide for 3 days (the group was split into two on the first day due to numbers) He was highly entertaining, witty and informative as well as being very enthusiastic and helpful.

The first day, which was a tour around Mumba with visits to various places of interest, was really most interesting. It was followed by lunch at a fun and colorful venue (and to my knowledge, none of us the worse for wear afterwards!) The second day of a trip to the Elephanta caves was fascinating in many ways and again, Aroo was excellent at his job.

I was part of a group which did not have lunch but was told it was very good (same venue as the previous day but in the upstairs part). The third day of ‘shopping’ and a trip to the market and Prince of Wales museum was very good and lunch at Kyber was top class. The guides were very patient due to the group splitting up and going their separate ways before lunch and they were most diligent in ensuring that no-one ‘slipped through the net’ and got left behind!

The group of guides were excellent – ushering us along with good humour and a smile and always carefully counting numbers to ensure that we were all present – a comforting feeling in a foreign environment! They were always willing to help whenever needed and I cannot praise them and the organisation more highly.

I feel extremely privileged that I was part of the whole occasion and met some lovely people over the week. So thank you very much for all your endless hard work and effort to ensure that we all had such a wonderful and memorable time. We were sad to leave yesterday.”
