Omkar 1973 Worli Million will me a Grand Race

A plethora ofspeedy horses are part of the 1000 meter Omkar 1973 Worli Million to be run during the Invitation Weekend on Saturday, 28 /02/2015. The DUO, in my opinion, who have the right credentials and from whom the winner should emanate for this Million are the 5yo gelding Beau Royale(New Famous- Striking Beauty) trained by Narendra Lagad & the 5yo mare Padmakosa(Mr.Mellon- Cape Vaticano) trained by Subhag Singh. Details of both horses are given below along with My Final Analysis:

BEAU ROYALE-  He is a speedy bay gelding who is a winner of 2 races over 1000 meters which shows that he is speedy, his last win was on 22/1/2015 shows that he is currently in good form and he could achieve an encore by winning the esteemed race. Apart from this win, he has worked well on 10/2 and 16/2 which shows that he is raring to go and will run a very good race.

Pedigree wise his sire 'New Famous (BRZ)' Champion 3YO Colt and Miler in Brazil, won 5 races at 3 and 4 in Brazil (5.5fur to 8 fur), Reals 115,280 incl. Grande Premio Estado do Rio de Janeiro (Gr.1), Grande Premio Jose Buarque de Macedo (Gr.3)

His dam 'Striking Beauty' won 4 races, Rs.8,19,412 and his grand dam 'Timeless Beauty' won 6 races, Rs.32 ,66,343 incl.F.D.Wadia Trophy (Gr.2) and placed 2nd in Poonawalla Breeders Million (Gr.1), McDowell Indian 2000 Guineas (Gr.1) Plus, his dams' tail-line is a pretty strong one as it goes down to the likes of Innocent Victom who won 5 races,$ 79, 629 incl. Modesty Handicap and placed.

PADMAKOSA- She is a good looking dark bay mare who has only won 1 race but is presently in excellent form as she won her last race on 22/1/2015 over 1000 meter very speedily showing that she could achieve an encore. She is presently very fit and does not need any work.
Pondering over her pedigree, her sire 'Mr.Mellon' won 3 races at 3 (9 fur) $ 278,580 incl. Arlington Classic Stakes (Gr.2) and he has performed very well as a sire on the Indian Turf.

Her dam 'Cape Vaticano' won 2 races, Rs.3,12,500 and placed 8 times. Her grand dam 'Sangam'  was the dam of 4 good winners.

My Final Analysis: The well-bred 5 years old gelding Beau Royale who is presently in excellent form should run a big race and appears to be the one to beat, the only threat likely being Padmakosa.
