The B.K.Rattonsey Memorial Maiden Multi-Million will be a Grand Race

Mumbai: 12 impeccably bred thoroughbreds will be running in The 1200M B.K. Rattonsey Memorial Maiden Multi-Million. This esteemed race is for Maiden Indian Horses, 3 years old only in which Colts and Geldings carry 56 Kg and Fillies carry 54.5Kg. It is the 7th race in a card of Nine events and is scheduled to be run at 4.35 P.M. Nominating the winner of this honored race is a somewhat cumbersome task, as all the horses are maidens but since I have to stick my neck out, here I go. In my opinion, the winner should emanate from the quartet of Colombiana, Kyoto, Intelligence or Strateira. The aforesaid horses are given below along with all relevant details including their pedigree, and other relevant details if any and eventually my Final Analysis:
COLOMBIANA (Noverre - Wonder Smile) Trainer: M. Narredu
He is a sturdy and well-bred colt who has had the advantage of an excellent run in The1200M Gool S. Poonawalla Million (Gr.3) on 18/1/2015 in which he finished 2nd to the speedy filly Victoria Harbour.
His 'Sire' Noverre (Rahy-Danseur Fabuleux) won 5 races including champagne Lanson Sussex Stakes, Gr.1 (1600M) at Goodwood beating No Excuse Needed by 2 L. He also authoritatively won Thehorsemouth .Co.Uk Champagne Stakes Gr.21400M at Doncaster beating CD Europe by 1-1/2 lengths and TNT July Stakes, Gr.3 (1200M) at Newmarket beating Media Mogul.
And his 'Dam' Wonder Smile won The Bangalore Oaks (Gr.3) & The Bangalore 1000 Guineas.
My Final Analysis: The impeccably bred colt Colombiana has had the advantage of running a good 2nd to Victoria Harbour in The 1200M Gool S.Poonawalla Million (Gr.3) on 18/1/2015. So, Colombiana should now run a commendable race on 1/2/2015 in The 1200M B.K. Rattonsey Memorial Maiden Multi-Million an esteemed race for 3YO maidens.
KYOTO (Multidimensional – Alice Springs) Trainer: S. S. Shah
He is a strongly built colt who has had the advantage of a good run on 18/12/2014 in The 1000M Faiz Jasdanwalla Trophy in which he finished 3rd to Victoria Harbour. In the race for maiden Two Year-old maiden horses, he was 2nd till last few strides but finally ended 3rd.
Pedigree wise, his 'Sire' Multidimensional needs no introduction as he has sired several classic thoroughbreds and many classy and black-type performers. And his "Dam" Alice Springs from 9 starts had 5 wins, 1 place, 3 shows with a Career Earnings of Rs.92,44,179
My Final Analysis:The exquisitely bred colt Kyoto has had the advantage of a run and has worked well and is fighting fit for a win chance in The 1200M Race.
INTELLIGENCE (Rip Van Winkle - Aurora Aurealis) Trainer: Janardhan
She is a well-bred speedy filly who has excelled in her recent Track-work and she has had the benefit of a good run on 4/1/2015 in The 1000M Parx Million in which she finished 4th to the speedy filly Ageless. She benefited greatly from that run and now is all set to come up trumps.
Her 'Sire' Rip Van Winkle 12 Starts: 5 Wins, 2 Places Career Earnings £1,028,1022008: 1st Tyros S (IRE-G3,7F,Leopardstown)2009: 1st Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (Eng-G1,8F,Ascot), Sussex Stakes (Eng-G1,8F,Goowood); 2nd Eclipse Stakes (Eng-G1,10F,Sandown)Winner SEA THE S. 2010: 1st Juddmonte International Stakes (Eng-G1,10.5F,York); 2nd Irish Champion S (IRE-G1,10F,Leopardstown) , Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (Eng-G1,8F,Ascot) , Sussex Stakes (Eng-G1,8F,Goodwood)
And her Dam Aurora Aurealis (Indictment- Indiscretion) won a couple of races but her "Grand dam" Indiscretion was a highly speedy Class 1filly in Western India and her Dam's Tail-Line was a strong one as it goes down to the likes of Stoshka who from 13 starts had 5 good wins, 1 place, 1 shows with a Career Earnings of $ 73, 538.
My Final Analysis: The exquisitely bred filly Intelligence is raring to go and in my opinion, she should fight it out for a win with the well-bred filly Strateira.
STATEIRA (Burden of Proof- Crown Princess) Trainer: P. Shroff
She is an extremely attractive and very well-conformed filly who has had the advantage of a very good run this season on 25/1/2014 in The 1000M Decoration Trophy in which she finished an excellent Neck 2nd to Global Icon, showing that she will soon come out of the maiden ranks especially when she runs over a little longer trip 1200-1400.
Her 'Sire' Burden of Proofwon 12 races at 2 to 7 (6 fur to 8 fur) Pounds 204,024 including Budweiser World Cup International Stakes (Gr.2), Juddmonte Beresford Stakes (Gr.3), Weatherbys Ireland Greenlands Stakes (Gr.3) & Ragusa Stud Minstrel Stakes (Gr.3). In 2014 Burden of Proof had 248 winners and 63 Black-type performers. Some of his very classy thoroughbreds were Arabian Prince, Aboline, Fleeting Arrow, Siachen, Full Speed, Fantabulous King, Abs Fabs, Lindsay, Cielo Ray, Speed Six, Jersey Girl, Surya Lakshmi and many more..
And 'Her Dam' Crown Princess did not do anything significant but Her Dam's Tail-Line was a very strong one as it goes down to the likes of Joy Returned who from23 Starts had 6wins 6places 4 shows with a Career Earnings of $116,762
which included Jeanne D'arc Prep, Queen City Oaks H., Annie Oakley S., 2cd Jeanne D'arc S., Cleveland Oaks (JRD 2/18/2010)dam of 9 foals, 2 SW.
My Final Analysis: The impeccably bred filly Stateira apart from coming a good 2nd in The 1000M Decoration Trophy has worked very well which shows that she is presently very fit and on all proximities, Stateira will be the one who all will have to try and beat in The esteemed 1200M B. K. Rattonsey Memorial Maiden Multi-Million on Sunday, 1st February 2015.
