RACE DAY REPORTS

 

RAILS WERE PLACED 3 METRES AWAY FROM THE ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES (MILE CHUTE) LEADING TO 5 METRES  AWAY AT 1200 METRES AND THEREAFTER 7 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST. FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH, RAILS WERE PLACED 3 METRES AWAY FROM THE ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1200 METRES LEADING TO 7 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.

 

RACE NO.1(15) –THE M.H.AHMEDBHOY TROPHY: (About) 1800 Metres – Runners - 5 

 

Approaching 300 metres, SAMARJEET (A. Imran Khan) and BABY FACE (Y. S. Srinath) were observed to have jostled.

 

After the race, BABY FACE and GOLDEN HALO were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(16) – THE GATEWAY OF INDIA PLATE: (About) 1800 Metres – Runners - 5

 

At the start, FURIOUS N’ FAST (A. Imran Khan, dr. 2) jumped outwards on to DAUGHTEROFTHESUN (C. S. Jodha, dr. 3).

 

After the race, FURIOUS N’ FAST was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(17) –THE BANGALORE TURF CLUB TROPHY:(About) 1200 Metres – Runners- 5 

 

On arrival at the start, it was observed that the right fore shoe of GOVERNOR GENERAL (Neera Rawal) was splayed. As per the norms, the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order.

 

At the start, DANCING PHOENIX (App. H. Zeeshan, dr. 2) jumped outwards and went across STARISTOCRAT (N. B. Kuldeep, dr. 3) who was slow to begin.

 

Passing 700 metres, the saddle on DANCING PHOENIX (App. H. Zeeshan) was observed to have shifted forward. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been fined Rs.3,000/- for faulty saddling of his charge.

 

Passing 350 metres, NASCAR (App. Raghuveer Singh) shifted in and went across HARVEY (A. Imran Khan) who had to be steadied. App. Raghuveer Singh has been cautioned.

 

RACE NO.4(18) – THE MAHARAJA OF MORVI TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres –Runners- 5 

 

Trainer Bharat Singh has been fined Rs.1,000/- for racing his charge CASTLEBRIDGE with bandages on both fore legs without obtaining prior permission for the same.

 

At the start, CASTLEBRIDGE (P. Trevor, dr. 4) jumped inwards and went across BATELEUR (A. Imran Khan, dr. 3).

 

Passing 200 metres, BATELEUR (A. Imran Khan) shifted out and went across CAPRISCA (S. John) and carried GALLANT KNIGHT (Neeraj Rawal) outwards. After questioning Jockey A. Imran Khan and not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by him, he has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

RACE NO.5(19) – THE STYLECRACKER CLASSIC: (About) 1400 Metres –Runners- 9 

 

Approaching 300 metres, BOTTEGA LOUIE (C. S. Jodha) shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing SPIRIDON (A. Imran Khan) and STAR COMRADE (Y. S. Srinath). Jockey C. S. Jodha has been cautioned.

 

Passing 200 metres, BOTTEGA LOUIE (C. S. Jodha) shifted in under pressure and made contact with CAMBRIDGE (P.Trevor) who had to be steadied.

 

An objection was lodged by Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of CAMBRIDGE (Placed Second) against BOTTEGA LOUIE (C. S. Jodha, Placed First). The reason being, passing the 300 metres, BOTEGA LOUIE started drifting in on to SPIRIDON (A. Imran Khan) who shifted in on to STAR COMRADE (Y. S. Srinath) and due to the chain reaction his mount got unbalanced. Thereafter, BOTTEGA LOUIE again came in and bumped CAMBRIDGE and took his ground due to which his horse got unbalanced and he could not ride out in the last half furlong which cost him a certain race

 

After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgment, the Stewards upheld the objection and revised the order of placing of the above race as under:-

CAMBRIDGE                       -               FIRST;                                   BUNTING                             -               THIRD;

BOTTEGA LOUIE               -               SECOND;                             ETERNALINSPIRATION   -               FOURTH

 

After the race, BUNTING was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6(20) – THE STYLECRACKER BOROUGH STAKES: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners – 8

 

At the start, HOPEILICIOUS (Neeraj Rawal, dr.7) jumped outwards on to QUEENS BEST (Bhawani Singh, dr. 8).

 

Soon after the start, ANNIVERSARY GIRL (App. Raghuveer Singh) who was racing on the haunches of GOLD FIELD (App. S. A. Amit), lost its footing and stumbled.

 

Approaching 400 metres, STALLONE (C. S. Jodha) shifted out and at the same time QUEENS BEST (Bhawani Singh) shifted in thereby clipping the heels of the former and stumbled.

 

Passing 350 metres, GOLD FIELD (App. S. A. Amit) shifted out and carried HOPEILICIOUS (Neeraj Rawal) outwards and thereafter HOPEILICIOUS (Neeraj Rawal) shifted in and made contact with GOLD FIELD (App. S. A. Amit). After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal reported that his mount was running erratic in the straight. Trainer Nirad Karanjawala has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, ANNIVERSARY GIRL and QUEENS BEST were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(21) – THE SECRET STAR PLATE  : (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 7 

 

Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been fined 2,000/- for declaring incorrect shoeing on his charge ROYAL BLOOD wherein the gelding was declared to run with plain aluminium shoes on all four legs but ran with Square Toe aluminium shoes on both fore legs and plain aluminium shoes on both hind legs.

 

On the way to the start, MASTER SERGEANT (S. S. Baria) dislodged the rider and bolted. As per the norms, with the consent of the Trainer, the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order.

 

On arrival at the start, AME (P. Trevor) was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and found to be sore by the right fore leg, as such the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

RESURGE (App. Raghuveer Singh) jumped out slow losing about a length at the start.

 

Soon after the start, SIA (A. Imran Khan, dr.1) shifted out on to IMPOSSIBLE DREAM (App. S. J. Sunil, dr.2) who had to be checked. After the race, Jockey A. Imran Khan stated that his mount shied outwards and was inclined to run out throughout the race. Trainer Nirad Karanjawala has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Passing 50 metres, ROYAL BLOOD (Bhawani Singh) drifted out under pressure

 

After the race, ROYAL BLOOD was trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the winner of the 2nd, 3rd and 7th race, viz. BIG SUR, CHAMPAGNE and MAKE IT SHINE,  were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

ADDITIONAL REPORTS :

 

Due to mechanical failure of the horse weighing scale, the weights for the runners in the fourth and fifth race could not be recorded on this day (26/11/17); however the problem was rectified before the sixth race.
