An objection was lodged by App. M. Ayyar, the rider of WIND CRAFT (Placed Second) against FINE TUNE (App. H. Zeeshan, Placed First). The reason being, in the last 150 metres FINE TUNE bumped his mount and pushed him at about 100 metres and also just before the winning post despite which his mount was full of running towards the end and this had cost him a certain race.

After considering the submissions made by App. M. Ayyar and App. H. Zeeshan who were accompanied by their Trainers, Mr. Sangramsinh N. Joshi and Mr. Mansoor Shah respectively, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgment, the Stewards upheld the objection and revised the order of placing of the above race as under:-

WIND CRAFT                      -               FIRST;                                  MALAVIKA                                 -               THIRD;

FINE TUNE                          -               SECOND;                             ARABIAN STORM                  -               FOURTH

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held after the last race, interviewed App. H. Zeeshan who was accompanied by his Master, Trainer Shazaan Shah, for careless riding on his mount FINE TUNE and having heard him/his Master and having viewed the video recording of the race, the Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by App. H. Zeeshan and decided to suspend his Apprentice Jockey’s license for 2 race days for careless riding on FINE TUNE.  It was noted that Mr. H. Zeeshan’s Apprentice Jockey’s license already stands suspended up to 4th August, 2018 for an earlier offence on HUDSON. Therefore, the Stewards decided that should he apply for an Apprentice Jockey’s license for the Season 2018/19, the same will be granted to him, however, his license shall stand further suspended w.e.f. 5th August, 2018 to 11th August, 2018 for careless riding on FINE TUNE (permitted to ride work/mock race). Further, he was warned to be more careful in the future.

SIR SONG (S. A. Amit) jumped out slow losing about a length at the start.

At the start, ADVANCE TO CONTACT (S. G. Prasad, dr. 11) jumped out awkwardly inwards, at the same time PARADISE (Kunal Bunde, dr. 9) jumped outwards due to which STAR ACE (Anil Baandal, dr. 10) drawn between them was tightened for room and had to be steadied.

At the start, MASTER SERGEANT (App. Vishal N. Bunde, dr. 5) jumped inwards and made contact with AEOLUS MAXIMUS (Dashrath Singh, dr. 4).

After the race, GALTERO was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
