RACE NO.1(153) - THE CIRCLE OF BLISS PLATE  (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres - 15 Runners

 

After being stalled, Jockey Bhawani Singh informed that his mount SUERTE stood awkwardly in the stall. The colt was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified him fit to race.

 

AIRLIFT (C. S. Jodha) reared up just as the start was effected and took a fly jump thus losing about 4 lengths. 

 

VOULEZ VOUS (App. Vishal N. Bunde), COMMANDPERFORMANCE (S. J. Sunil) and BAY OF LOVE (App. K. Nazil) jumped out slow, losing about 3 lengths, 2 lengths and one length respectively.

 

Approaching 600 metres, COMMANDPERFORMANCE (App. S. J. Sunil) shifted out and carried SUERTE (Bhawani Singh) and ANGEL OF LOVE (S. S. Baria) outwards. On questioning, Jockey S. J. Sunil stated that his mount hung out despite his efforts. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of AIRLIFT and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, RICH N RARE was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, AIRLIFT and COMMANDPERFORMANCE were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(154) - THE OCTOBER HANDICAP: (About)  1200 Metres - 6 Runners

 

SAFFRON FLOWER (App. S. A. Amit) took an awkward fly jump and stumbled thus losing about 3 lengths at the start. Trainer Magansingh P. Jodha has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

PATHAN (M. A. Roushan) lost its footing resulting in losing about 3 lengths at the start.

 

At the start, POKERFACE (P. S. Chouhan) jumped out awkwardly outwards.

 

Passing 1100 metres, BESHIKTASH (A. Imran Khan) shifted out and had to be steadied. 

 

An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of POKERFACE and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, MAJESTICAL was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO.3(155) – THE GRUEZI PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres -  9 Runners

 

Passing 300 metres, ALLORA (C. S. Jodha) shifted out thereby taking the ground of TURF DANCER (T. S. Jodha) who had to be checked. Jockey C. S. Jodha has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

After the race, INCENTIO was found to be sore by the right fore leg. Also, the gelding had an abrasion at the left hind fetlock. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO.4(156) – THE GLASNOST PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres - 10 Runners

 

TANJO (App. S. Jaykumar) jumped out slow losing about 4 lengths at the start. Trainer Nosher Cama has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Jockey Akshay (TRANSFORM) was observed to have lost his whip soon after the start. This being his first offence, no action has been initiated.

 

Passing 900 metres, WHOOPSIDAISY (M. A. Roushan) was observed to have veered outwards. On questioning, Jockey M. A. Roushan stated that his mount was inclined to run out. Trainer Faisal A. Abbas has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Jockey C. S. Jodha (RISHAB’S PET) was observed to have lost his whip passing 100 metres. This being his first offence, no action has been initiated.

 

After the race, STAR WARS was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

The Sr. V.O. reported that WHOOPSIDAISY was examined at the stables in the morning on 09/10/2017 and was found to be sound in the trot.

 

RACE NO.5(157) – THE THREPTIN FILLIES’ & MARES’ STAKES (GR.3): (About) 1800 Metres - 5 Runners

 

Trainer Neil Darashah has been fined Rs.1,000/- for racing his charge ESCALA with bandages on both fore legs without obtaining prior permission for the same.

 

After the race, Jockey Yash Narredu (SILVER BEAUTY) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight. Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (UNFORGETTABLE YOU) reported that passing the 1600 metres, his mount was very keen and may have clipped the heels of SILVER BEAUTY (Yash Narredu) racing directly in front of him.

 

After the race, SILVER BEAUTY was observed to have bruises on the shoulder.

 

RACE NO.6(158) – THE KEJRIWAL TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres - 12 Runners

 

On the arrival at the start, SLAM DUNK (K. Nazil) was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was certified fit to race.

 

BOTTEGA LOUIE (N. S. Parmar) reared up just as the start was effected, resulting in losing about 4 lengths.

 

At the start, STARDOM CALLING (App. Vishal N. Bunde, dr. 6) jumped inwards and went across GLYNDEBOURNE (A. Imran Khan, dr. 5) and made contact with SPARKLING EYES (C. S. Jodha, dr. 4) starting a chain reaction, due to which LADY SERGEANT (Santosh G., dr. 3) was tightened and GREY FLANNEL (P. S. Chouhan, dr. 2) was inconvenienced. Apprentice Vishal N. Bunde has been cautioned.

 

Soon after the start, SLAM DUNK (App. K. Nazil) shifted in due to which  FURIOUS N’ FAST (T. S. Jodha) was tightened and  STARDOM CALLING (App. Vishal N. Bunde) shied inwards onto SPARKLING EYES (C. S. Jodha) who in turn shifted in tightening GREY FLANNEL (P. S. Chouhan). Apprentice K. Nazil has been fined Rs. 2,000/-.

 

Approaching 1300 metres, DOMINATION (Yash Narredu) shifted in on to STARDOM CALLING (App. Vishal N. Bunde) who in turn shifted in tightening SPARKLING EYES (C. S. Jodha) who had to be checked. Jockey Yash Narredu has been fined Rs. 3,000/-.

 

An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of BOTTEGA LOUIE and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, BOTTEGA LOUIE and FURIOUS N’ FAST (examined on 09/10/2017) were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(159) – THE CHEF D’OEUVRE PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres– 17 Runners

 

On arrival at the start, GALTERO (N. S. Parmar) was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was certified fit to race.

 

DIWALI LIGHTS (App. S. Joseph) refused to be stalled despite substantial efforts, as such the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. Trainer H. J. Antia has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

ABU AL BUKHOOSH (S. G. Prasad) jumped out slow losing about a length at the start

 

At the start, STAR ACE (App. S. A. Amit, dr. 3) jumped outwards and made contact with ALYATIES (App. H. Zeeshan dr. 4).

 

Soon after the start, JEENA (C. S. Jodha) shifted in on to HAPPY BIRTHDAY (Amyn Merchant) and thereafter further shifted in thereby tightening ALFONSO (T. S. Jodha) and MAGICAL SCRIPT (Yash Narredu) due to which both the horses had to be checked. Jockey C. S. Jodha has been fined Rs. 3,000/-

 

After the race, ALYATIES, MAGICAL SCRIPT and FOREVER FREE were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.8(160) – THE CIRCLE OF BLISS PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres - 14 Runners

 

After being stalled, TRAVIESO (S. J. Sunil) ducked the front gates and got cast underneath. As such, the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. Trainer Sanjay Kolse has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

GRANDE VITESSE (App. K. Nazil) and AEOLUS MAXIMUS (N. S. Parmar) jumped out slow losing about 3 lengths each at the start.

 

At the start, DANCING PRINCE (App. R. Ajinkya, dr. 12) jumped outwards and at the same time PHILADELPHIA (App. Vishal N. Bunde, dr.14) jumped inwards thereby tightening RASHUN (App. D. S. Daman, dr.13).

 

Approaching 700 metres, GRANDE VITESSE (App. K. Nazil) shifted in thereby inconveniencing WINDS OF CHANGE (Vikram Jodha).

 

Jockey Vikram Jodha (WINDS OF CHANGE) reported the loss of whip at about 100 metres. This being his first offence, no action has been initiated.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that RASHUN had left eye injury (lacrimation with mild opacity).

 

The Sr. V. O. reported that CRYSTAL BALL was examined at the stables in the morning on 09/10/2017 and found to be sore by the right hind leg. Also, the filly had a cut injury at the right hind fetlock joint. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

The urine samples of the winner of the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 8th race, viz. SMART CHOICE, RUFFINA, ASTER ROSE and POWERHAUS, as also that of ESCALA (5th race), and the special sample of AIRLIFT (1st race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

RACE NO. 86 – THE  GIRONDE PLATE: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES RUN ON 2ND SEPTEMBER, 2017

 

After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh (MOUNT MCKINLEY) reported that his saddle slipped during the race due to which he was unable to ride out in the final stages of the race. This being the second such incident, Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been fined Rs. 5,000/- for faulty saddling of his charge.
