RACE DAY REPORTS

 

RAILS WERE PLACED 4 METRES AWAY FROM THE ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1200 METRES CHUTE, 6 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES, 7 METRES AWAY AT 800 METRES AND THEREAFTER 8 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST. FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH, RAILS WERE PLACED 2 METRES AWAY FROM THE ORIGINAL POINT AT 1500 METRES, 3 METRES AWAY AT 1400 METRES, 4 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES AND 6 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.

 

RACE NO.1(80) – THE WEIZHOU PLATE : (About) 2000 Metres – 7 Runners

 

Passing the 1400 metres, LADY BE GOOD (Yash Narredu) shifted in thereby tightening ARTUS (P. S. Chouhan) and ZANARA (Y. S. Srinath). Jockey Yash Narredu has been cautioned.

 

Approaching the 400 metres, SWIFTNESS (Dashrath Singh) was denied a clear run and had to be steadied.

 

After the race, the saddle used on WILDCARD WARRIOR (Nirmal Jodha) was observed to have shifted forward during the race. Trainer Magansingh P. Jodha has been fined Rs.5,000/-.

 

After the race, Jockey Dashrath Singh (SWIFTNESS) reported that his mount hung in throughout the race. Trainer Magansingh P. Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures.

 

After the race, ARTUS, FORTITUDE, SWIFTNESS and ZANARA were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(81) – THE ROSMINI PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – 10 Runners

 

After being stalled, Jockey Dashrath Singh requested his mount WARLOCK to be examined. The gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr V.O. who reported that while being loaded, WARLOCK hit its mouth on the front gates and injured its tongue and the wound started bleeding profusely. As such, WARLOCK was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn before coming under Starter’s Order. The Trainer is required to obtain a fitness certificate for the gelding from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

SMART CHOICE (T. S. Jodha) refused to be stalled inspite of substantial efforts, as such, the mare was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. Since the mare had behaved in a similar manner in its previous start, Trainer Vijay Kasbekar has been asked to take remedial measures and to show the mare to the satisfaction of the Starter in a Mock Race, before next accepting with her to race.  

 

At the start BLAZING STEPS (Vishal N. Bunde, dr. 5) was observed to have brushed the gates and jumped inwards tightening FINANCIER (Amyn Merchant, dr. 4) and ROMANTIC WARRIOR (C. S. Jodha, dr. 3) who in turn shifted in inconveniencing  MISS MONEYPENNY (A. Sandesh, dr. 2).

 

After the race, Jockey Nirmal Jodha (GODSENT) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures.

 

An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of FERNEBACHE (N. S. Parmar) and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that SPARKLING THEA had right eye injury with lacrimation.

 

After the race, BLAZING STEPS and FERNEBACHE were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(82) – THE SEPTEMBER HANDICAP: (About) 1600 Metres – 5 Runners

 

After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (GOOFY EYES) reported that passing the 400 metres his mount shied outwards and had to be steadied.

 

After the race, GOOFY EYES and ALOHA were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(83) – THE ISHPINGO PLATE:(About) 1000 Metres – 14 Runners

 

REALITY (S. A. Amit) was restless in the stall, not allowing the rider to settle and thereafter took an awkward jump. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give the mare more gate practice and to show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

In the process of stalling, the bit fastener of WHAT A NICE GIRL (Vishal N. Bunde) was observed to be broken and was unserviceable. As such, WHAT A NICE GIRL was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order.

 

At the start, REALITY (App. S. A. Amit, dr.4) was observed to have brushed the gates and jumped outwards.

 

At the start HORSE POWER (Sandeep Jadhav, dr.15) jumped out throwing its head up.

 

Soon after the start, HIGHLAND PRINCESS (H. Zeeshan) shifted out and made contact with REALITY (App. S. A. Amit).

 

Soon after the start, TALLY HO (App. D. S. Daman) shifted out on to GOLDEN HORDE (A. Imran Khan) who in turn shifted out and went on to BLACK JAGUAR (Bhawani Singh) who had to be steadied.

 

Passing the 100 metres, GOLDEN HORDE (A. Imran Khan) shifted in thereby inconveniencing RISING CONCERT (T. S. Jodha). Jockey A. Imran Khan has been cautioned.

 

After the race, Jockey T. S. Jodha (RISING CONCERT) reported that his reins had slipped in the last 100 metres and he had collected the same, he was asked to be more careful in the future.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that TALLY HO and BLACK JAGUAR had left eye injury with lacrimation and KNIGHT AT ARMS had right eye injury with lacrimation. TAREEF had injuries to both eyes – right eye corneal opacity and left eye lacrimation.

 

RACE NO.5(84) – THE AKKASAHEB MAHARAJ TROPHY (GR.3): (About) 1200 Metres – 9 Runners

 

DANCING PHOENIX (Suraj Narredu) was reluctant to reach the starting point thus delaying the start. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures and ensure that his charge reaches the starting point on time in the future.

 

After being stalled, CHAMPAGNE (P. S. Chouhan) played up in the stall. The mare was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified her fit to race.  Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to give the mare more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

CELTIC PRINCE (Yash Narredu) jumped out slow losing about a length at the start.

 

Passing the 150 metres, DENNY CRANE (J. Chinoy) racing between HOLY SMOKE (C. S. Jodha) and ST. ANDREWS (Prashant P. Dhebe) was tightened for room and had to be steadied.

 

After the race, DENNY CRANE was observed to have a cut injury at the left hock. ADAM and CELTIC PRINCE were found to be sound in the trot.

 

RACE NO.6(85) – THE  HAWKE BAY PLATE (About) 1000 Metres – 11 Runners

 

At the start, ANGEL GIRL (R. Shelar, dr. 7) jumped inwards and made contact with HOUSE OF COMMONS (A. Sandesh, dr. 6).

 

Soon after the start, JUGGERNAUT (Dashrath Singh) shifted in thereby tightening BENEFICIAL (R. Ajinkya) along the rails. Jockey Dashrath Singh has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

Passing the 700 metres, SHAOQING (App. Vishal N. Bunde) shifted in thereby inconveniencing BENEFICIAL (R. Ajinkya). App. Vishal N. Bunde has been cautioned.

 

Passing the 400 metres, VICTORIO (App. S. Jaykumar) shifted in and went across JUGGERNAUT (Dashrath Singh) who had to be steadied. App. S. Jaykumar has been cautioned.

 

Approaching the 200 metres, JUGGERNAUT (Dashrath Singh) was denied of a clear passage.

 

After the race, Jockey R. Shelar (ANGEL GIRL) reported that soon after the start his whip got entangled in his reins.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that JUGGERNAUT had right eye injury with mild lacrimation.

 

After the race, BENEZEER, MONTE CRECO, BENEFICIAL and TRIPLE THREAT were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(86) – THE  GIRONDE PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – 14 Runners

 

FROSTED (Raghuveer Singh) was reluctant to be stalled. GOLDEN ECLIPSE (M. Ayyar) jumped out slow losing about 4 lengths at the start. Trainers Imtiaz A. Sait and M. K. Jadhav have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Soon after the start, PACIFIC DUNES (Santosh G.) shifted in due to which DUSKY SIREN (App. H. Zeeshan) shied inwards and made contact with PILATUS (App. S. A. Amit).

 

Soon after the start, KISS FROM A ROSE (A. M. Tograllu) shifted in inconveniencing COMMANDPERFORMANCE (Prashant P. Dhebe).

 

Soon after the start, FROSTED (Raghuveer Singh) shifted in thereby tightening MOUNT MCKINLEY (A. Sandesh), PACIFIC DUNES (Santosh G.) and PILATUS (App. S. A. Amit). App. Raghuveer Singh has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

Approaching the 300 metres, ALLEGRIA (Bhawani Singh) shifted in thereby tightening KISS FROM A ROSE (A. M. Tograllu) along the rails. Jockey Bhawani Singh has been cautioned.

 

Approaching the 200 metres, COMMANDPERFORMANCE (Prashant P. Dhebe) shifted out under urgings and carried DUSKY SIREN (App. H. Zeeshan) and GREGORIAN CHANTS (Amyn Merchant) outwards. Jockey Prashant P. Dhebe has been cautioned.

 

After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh (MOUNT MCKINLEY) reported that his saddle slipped during the race due to which he was unable to ride out in the final stages of the race. The Stipendiary Stewards are looking into this incident.

 

After the race, Jockey Santosh G. (PACIFIC DUNES) reported loss of whip passing the 200 metres.

 

An Enquiry has been initiated into the poor performance of ALLEGRIA (Bhawani Singh) and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

The Sr. V.O. reported that ALLEGRIA was examined at the stables in the morning on 03/09/2017 and was found to be sound in the trot.

 

RACE NO.8(87) – THE  ROSMINI PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – 13 Runners

 

FIREBOLT (Bhawani Singh) jumped out slow losing about 2 lengths at the start.

 

At the start ADAMS BEGINNING (App. D. S. Daman dr.11) jumped out awkwardly. 

 

Soon after the start RASHUN (App. Parbat Singh) shifted in thereby tightening AIRLIFT (C. S. Jodha) and Dishoom (J. E. Pereira).

 

After the race, FIREBOLT was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that AEOLUS MAXIMUS had right eye injury with mild lacrimation.

 

After the race, DHISHOOM, GRAN PARADISO and FRIBOURG were trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the winner of the 2nd, 5th, 6th and 8th race, viz. MISS MONEYPENNY, HOLY SMOKE, GOLDIE’S PET and GRAN PARADISO, as also that of DANCING PRANCES (5th race), and the special sample of FORTITUDE (1st race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
