RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED 2 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES (MILE CHUTE) TO 1000 METRES, 3 METRES AWAY AT 800 METRES AND THEREAFTER 4 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST. FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH, RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES LEADING TO 2 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.
On a request from Trainer P. Shroff, permission was granted to Trainer Vishal Gaikwad to saddle his charges ADONIJAH (2nd race) and STAR ALIGNED (6th race), race, at his (Trainer P. Shroff’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer Vinesh, permission was granted to Trainer Nirad Karanjawala to saddle his charge ALPINE EXPRESS in the 4th race, at his (Trainer Vinesh’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer S. K. Sunderji, permission was granted to Trainer Adil Dajee to saddle his charges SERENO (4th race) and TIMELESS (5th race), at his (Trainer S. K. Sunderji’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(202) –THE NARAYANDAS J.DAVE PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 4
Passingthe 1250 metres, SHAE (P. S. Chouhan) leaned inwards and made contact with GOLD MEDALIST (Neeraj Rawal).
After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (GOLD MEDALIST) reported that his mount ran erratic in the straight. Trainer S. Waheed has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
After the race, SHAE was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.2(203) – THE DR.A.H.SAYED PLATE: (About) 2400 Metres – Runners - 6
At the start, CISTICOLA (Neeraj Rawal, dr. 2) jumped outwards on to POETRYINMOTION (C. S. Jodha, dr. 3) who in turn shifted out on to RED FORT (Nirmal Jodha, dr. 4).
At the start, GDANSK (P. S. Chouhan, dr. 5) jumped outwards and made contact with SILVER EDGE (S. A. Amit, dr. 6).
Passing the 250 metres, POETRYINMOTION (C. S. Jodha) shifted out under the use of whip and made contact with RED FORT (Nirmal Jodha). Jockey C. S. Jodha has been cautioned.
After the race, SILVER EDGE was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The horse has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, ADONIJAH was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(204) –THE K.J.K.IRANI PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 9
ISINIT (Shahrukh Khan) whipped around after the start and took no part in the race.
At the start, SMOKY HAZE (App. D. R. Shubham, dr. 2) jumped outwards and at the same time GOLDEN HORDE (P. Trevor, dr. 4) jumped inwards thereby tightening ADVANCE TO CONTACT (App. S. A. Amit dr. 3).
At the start, ISINIT (App. Shahrukh Khan, dr. 9) jumped and whipped around and did not take part in the race. Trainer Sangramsinh N. Joshi has been asked to show his charge in a Mock Race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards before next accepting to race.
Approaching 800 metres, TOP WIZARD (Dashrath Singh) shifted in onto GOLDEN HORDE (P. Trevor) who in turn shifted in due to which SMOKY HAZE (App. D. R. Shubham) racing along the rails, had to be checked and drop back. Jockey Dashrath Singh has been cautioned.
After the race, Jockey Amyn Merchant (GANDALF) reported that his mount leaned-in in the straight.
An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of GANDALF (Amyn Merchant) and a report will be submitted shortly.
After the race, GANDALF was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.4(205) –THE M.M.T.PANDOLE PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres–Runners - 8
In the process of stalling, the head gear on ALPINE EXPRESS (A. Sandesh) broke and was left unserviceable, as such, the mare was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order.
At the start, ORACLE (P. Trevor dr. 4) jumped outwards on to GLORIOUS LAND (App. S. A. Amit, dr. 5), at the same time HEROINE (Neeraj Rawal, dr. 7) jumped inwards and brushed the haunches of JUGGERNAUT (App. Raghuveer Singh, dr. 6) who had to be steadied.
Passing the 650 metres, SERENO (App. H. Zeeshan) leaned inwards thereby inconveniencing PRICELESSGIRL (App. K. Nazil).
Passing the 650 metres, GOLD FIELD (P. S. Chouhan) shifted in and brushed the haunches of GLORIOUS LAND (App. App. S. A. Amit).
Passing the 100 metres, JUGGERNAUT (App. Raghuveer Singh) shifted out and went across PRICELESSGIRL (App. K. Nazil) who had to be steadied. App. Raghuveer Singh has been fined Rs.2,000/-.
After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (HEROINE) reported that his mount lugged in throughout the race. Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
The Sr. V.O. reported that GLORIOUS LAND was examined at the stables in the morning on 01/03/2018 and found to be sore by the right fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, GOLD FIELD was observed to have a cut injury at the right hock. HEROINE was found to be sound in the trot.
RACE NO.5(206)–THE A.CAMPBELL TROPHY:(About) 1400 Metres –Runners- 9
At the start, KRAMER (P. S. Chouhan, dr. 6) jumped outwards onto ALLORA (P. Trevor, dr. 7).
Passing 1000 metres, CHARGING TIGRESS (App. S. A. Amit) due to lack of room had to be steadied as a result dropped back inconveniencing AURELIA (Neeraj Rawal).
After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (AURELIA) reported that his mount lugged-in in the final furlong of the race. As such Trainer Nazak Chenoy has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
After the race, KRAMER and CHARGING TIGRESS (examined on 01/03/2018) were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.6(207) – THE F.K.VAKIL TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners – 12
At the request of Jockey Nirmal Jodha, the saddle on his mount DRAGONMOSS was adjusted on arrival at the start.
MY PRECIOUS (Bhawani Singh) and DRAGONMOSS (Nirmal Jodha) jumped out slow, losing about 1 length and 2 lengths respectively.
At the start, OPTIMUM (Kishore Kadam, dr. 11) jumped inwards thereby tightening DRAGONMOSS (Nirmal Jodha, dr. 10).
Passing 550 metres, SASSY LASS (Amyn Merchant) shifted out thereby inconveniencing EBONY (Neeraj Rawal).
After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (EBONY) reported that his mount was inclined to run out throughout the race. Trainer Altamaash A. Ahmed has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
After the race, TIMELESS DEEDS, SASSY LASS, EBONY and STAR ALIGNED were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.7(208) –THE K.J.K.IRANI PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres–Runners- 10
At the start, SUDARSHAN CHAKRA (C. S. Jodha, dr. 9) jumped inwards on to SARRAZIN (Amyn Merchant, dr. 8) thereafter BOHEMIAN (App. G. Amit, dr. 10) shifted in and went across SUDARSHAN CHAKRA (C. S. Jodha, dr. 9) forcing the latter to be checked.
Soon after the start, BOHEMIAN (App. G. Amit) shifted in and carried SARRAZIN (Amyn Merchant) inwards due to which TOWERING STORM (Neeraj Rawal) was inconvenienced.
Passing the 550 metres, ADELE (App. Santosh G.) shifted in thereby tightening XOXO (T. S. Jodha) along the rails.
Passing the 300 metres, TOWERING STORM (Neeraj Rawal) shifted out and went across ADELE (App. Santosh G.) who had to be steadied. Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been fined Rs. 1,000/-.
In the final stages of the race, XOXO (T. S. Jodha) shifted out and carried ADELE (App. Santosh G.) outwards.
An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of XOXO (T. S. Jodha) and a report will be submitted shortly.
After the race, SARRAZIN, SUDARSHAN CHAKRA, SKYSURFER and ADAM’S CREATION were trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the winner of the 2nd, 3rd and 6th race, viz. GDANSK, GOLDEN HORDE and STAR OF THEA, and the special sample of HEROINE (4th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

RE : RACE NO.198–THE POONAWALLA BREEDERS’ MULTI-MILLION (GR.1) RUN ON 25th FEBRUARY, 2018
The Sr. V.O. reported that at the request of the Trainer, PIONEER was scoped after the races at the sampling yard on 25/02/2018. During the scoping, the trachea was found to be full of mucopus, as such Trainer has been advised treatment.
