An objection was lodged by Jockey S. Zervan, the rider of HOPEILICIOUS (Placed Fourth) against CHAPLIN (David Allan, Placed Second). The reason being, coming into the straight, near the one furlong marker, his horse HOPEILICIOUS was full of running and gaining momentum at which time CHAPLIN (David Allan) came from the outside and bumped his horse, cut across him badly and took his ground, due to which he had to completely stop riding and check his horse. Thereafter, his horse again ran on to place fourth and this cost him a certain 2nd/3rd place.
