An objection was lodged by Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of STAR SCHOLAR (Placed Second) against MASTER SERGEANT (App. S. A. Amit, Placed First). After considering the submissions made by Jockey P. Trevor and App. S. A. Amit who was accompanied by Trainer Vinesh, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgment, the Stewards upheld the objection and revised the order of placing of the race as under :-

STAR SCHOLAR                                -               FIRST;                                   WINDHOEK                         -               THIRD;

MASTER SERGEANT                       -               SECOND;                             PARADISE                            -               FOURTH

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held after the last race interviewed App. S. A. Amit, who was accompanied by his Master, Tr. Adhirajsingh Jodha, for careless riding on his mount MASTER SERGEANT. Having heard App. S. A. Amit/his Master and having viewed the video recording of the race, the Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by App. S. A. Amit and decided to suspend his App. Jockey’s license for Two Race Days i.e. if he applies for an Apprentice Jockey’s license for the Season 2017/18, the same will be granted to him, however, his license shall stand suspended for Two Race Days commencing from the first Race Day of the Pune Meeting 2017.
