RE: ENQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING AND RIDING OF “MAKE WAY FOR ME” IN RACE NO 30 - THE STORM PLATE RUN ON 2ND AUGUST, 2015 (TR.ADHIRAJSINGH JODHA AND JOCKEY KAVRAJ SINGH) – THE OWNER ALSO LODGED A COMPLAINT THAT HE IS NOT SATISFIED WITH THE JOCKEY’S RIDING:

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Saturday, 22nd August, 2015 further interviewed Jockey Kavraj Singh In this connection. The Stewards noted with displeasure that Jockey Kavraj Singh had admitted to being in touch with a Bookmaker and passed on tips to him which is against the Rules of Racing. Further, despite giving him ample time to submit his incoming and outgoing Mobile Phone call details, he had only submitted his outgoing call details, that too, only up to 31st July, 2015 and not of the day in question and therefore, the Stipendiary Stewards have not been able to conclude the enquiry. The Stewards therefore decided to give Jockey Kavraj Singh further two week’s time to submit complete incoming as well as outgoing Mobile Phone details up to 7th August, 2015 and the Stipendiary Stewards were directed to give him the procedures laid out by TRAI. In the mean time, the Stewards decided to suspend his Jockey’s license and not to permit him entry to the Racecourse as well as the stable area until the enquiry is concluded. Jockey Kavraj Singh was told to appear before the Stipendiary Stewards for the enquiry as and when required.

Further, prima-facie evidence obtained in the on-going enquiry, indicated the involvement of Permission Boy, Mr.Kamran Ahmed and Handler, Thansingh in this case. Therefore, the Stewards decided not to permit them entry to the racecourse as well as the stable area until the enquiry is concluded. Both were told to appear before the Stipendiary Stewards for the enquiry as and when required. Further, they are required to submit to the Stipendiary Stewards, their incoming and outgoing Mobile Phone details up to the 7th of August, 2015 at the earliest.

RE : COMPLAINT FROM JOCKEY S.ZERVAN AGAINST TRAINER VINESH FOR MISBEHAVIOUR:

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Saturday, 22nd August, 2015 considered note dated 20th August, 2015 from the Stipendiary Stewards in the above connection. The Stewards interviewed Trainer Vinesh and having heard him, were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by him and considered his behavior to be unbecoming of a licensed professional. However, since he had accepted his mistake and tendered an apology and Jockey S.Zervan had withdrawn his complaint, the Stewards took a lenient view and decided to just warn Tr.Vinesh that on a repetition of similar behavior, he will be liable for severe action.
