RACE DAY REPORTS

(POSTPONED FROM 14TH DECEMBER, 2014)

RAILS WERE PLACED AT THE ORIGINAL POINT

 

Permission was granted to Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha to saddle NIGHT OF STARS of Trainer Magansingh P Jodha in the 2nd race, at his (Trainer Magansingh P Jodha’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(61) – THE  P.M.RUNGTA GOLD TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 10

 

Approaching 800 metres, MALZIE (App.Bhawani Singh) shifted in and tightened OCEAN STAR (S.G.Prasad). App.Bhawani Singh has been reprimanded.

 

Jockey S.G.Prasad (OCEAN STAR) has been cautioned for allowing his mount to drift out in the final 200 metres.

 

The saddle on MALZIE (App.Bhawani Singh) slipped back during the race. As such, Trainer Altaf Hussain has been fined Rs.2,000/-. 

App.Bhawani Singh (MALZIE) reported that his mount was inclined to lean inwards during the race. Trainer Altaf Hussain has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Jockey A.Ashhad Asbar (MAALIK) reported that his mount lugged-in throughout the race. Trainer Sanjay Kolse has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, MALZIE was observed to have a cut injury at the right hind stifle and a bruise at the right fore arm. NOBLE EXPRESS was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(62) – THE YAWAR RASHID TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 9

 

Jokey P.Trevor, the declared Rider for SERENE, was fined Rs.3,000/- for reporting late for weighing-out.

 

At the start, HELIX (Vikram Jodha) tried to veer to the outside, losing ground.

 

Approaching 400 metres, PABLITO (D.K.Ashish) was steadied off the heels of SPIRITED TOUCH (Neraj Rawal) as the latter shifted ground outwards.

 

NIGHT OF STARS (Kavraj Singh) lugged out for a brief period in the straight.  Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Jockey Neeraj Rawal (SPIRITED TOUCH) reported that his mount was inclined to lug-out throughout the race. Trainer Karthik G has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Jockey Kavraj Singh (NIGHT OF STARS) has been reprimanded for unbalancing his mount in the final stage of the race.

 

Jockey Colm O’Donoghue (MOGADISHU) reported that his mount ran green and did not travel freely in the straight. The Sr.V.O. was requested to examine the colt and he reported that MOGADISHU was found to be sound, but having a wolf tooth on the left side. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the colt.

 

After the race, PABLITO was observed to have lost its left fore plate.

 

RACE NO.3(63) –THE SETH RAMNATH DAGA TROPHY : (About) 1400 Metres – Runners – 7

 

At the start, SPIRIT OF MERCY (S.Mosin, dr.6) jumped awkwardly inwards and went on to MOON SHADOW (Suraj Narredu, dr.5).

 

Soon after the start, MINT APPROACH (S.Zervan, dr.7) shifted in and carried SPIRIT OF MERCY (S.Mosin, dr.6) inwards, who made contact with MOON SHADOW (Suraj Narredu, dr.5). Jockey S.Zervan has been cautioned.

 

While straightening for home, MYLA ROSE (C.S.Jodha) shifted ground marginally outwards, due to which PAPAKURA  (A.Sandesh) shifted out and made contact with MINT APPROACH (S.Zervan), which resulted in MOON SHADOW (Suraj Narredu) who was racing behind MINT APPROACH at that stage, also shifting out. 

 

COMMANDER (P.S.Chouhan) did not get a clear run between 300 metres and 200 metres.

 

MINT APPROACH (S.Zervan) lugged-in in the straight and went across PAPAKURA and then tightened MYLA ROSE (C.S.Jodha) on the inside. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

MOON SHADOW (Suraj Narredu) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Mansoor Shah has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, COMMANDER and MINT APPROACH were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(64) – THE  M.N.NAZIR TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 9

 

At the start, ABDERUS (App.Bhawani Singh, dr.4) jumped awkwardly outwards and went on to HABIBIANS (S.Sameer, dr.5).

 

Soon after the start, RUBENS (I.Pasha, dr.8) was ridden out to position his mount wherein the gelding cut across FRIBOURG (App.Yash Narredu, dr.7) and went on to STILETTO (App.S.J.Sunil, dr.6) who in turn went on to ABDERUS (App.Bhawani Singh, dr.4). Jockey I.Pasha has been cautioned.

 

SIMPLY SWEET (A.Sandesh) lugged out in the straight. Trainer Imitaz A.Sait has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

NATURE BOY (C.S.Jodha) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer M.K.Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

Jockey I.Pasha (RUBENS) reported the loss of whip near 400 metres.

RACE NO.5(65) – THE MAHARASHTRA, GUJARAT & GOA AREA TROPHY  (About) 2000 Mts – Runners -  11

 

At the start, NAZRANA (A. Sandesh) jumped out awkwardly.

 

After the race, SAVAGE GARDEN was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6(66) – THE  KEJRIWAL TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 15

 

MR MORRISON (R.Shelar) was restless in the stall and not allowing the rider to settle. Trainer Asad Siddiqui has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, ST BARTS (S.Sameer, dr.7) jumped awkwardly inwards and was steadied.

 

At the start, MR MORRISON (R. Shelar, dr.5) jumped awkwardly outwards and made contact with PEZZONOVANTE (J.Chinoy, dr.6).

 

EL WONDER (Mudassar Nazar, dr.15) shifted in before the Red Marker  and went across the field on his inside and then continued to shift in and carried WIND AND STARS (Hanumant Singh) inwards. Jockey Mudassar Nazar has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

Near 400 metres, BURGUNDY ROSE (P.Trevor) leaned inwards and tightened WIND AND STARS (Hanumant Singh) who was steadied and held up for a few strides. Trainer M.K.Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

 

Near 200 metres, STORMYDAY (S.G.Prasad) shifted out and in the process carried CEASARINA (I.Pasha) outwards for a few strides and was steadied due to lack of room. Jockey S.G.Prasad has been cautioned.

 

MIGHTY SPLENDOR (Kavraj Singh) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer S.Mangalorkar has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

 

RACE NO.7(67) – THE  FAIZ JASDANWALLA TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 10

 

At the request of Trainer Hosidar Daji, CRITICS CHOICE was examined before the first race of the day and was found to have fever, as such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The trainer is required to obtain a fitness certificate for the filly from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, RED WONDER was found to be sound, but having a gum injury.

 

RACE NO.8(68) – THE  NEW HOPE INDIAN 1000 GUINEAS (GR.1): (About) 1600 Metres – Runners – 17

 

Soon after the start, GODSPEED (Suraj Narredu, dr.1) shifted out marginally which caused a chain reaction wherein GODSPEED went on to LADYBIRD (J.Chinoy) who went on to AN JOLIE (Y.S.Srinath) who went on to MOUSSAEIF (C.S.Jodha) who was also keen at that stage and in turn went on to CLASSIC MOMENT (P.Trevor) who shifted out and jostled with SUPREME FAIRY (P.S.Chouhan).

 

Near 1400 metres, FRANKANELLA (Darren Williams) was tightened for room and steadied, due to which MOUSSAEIF (C.S.Jodha) who was following, was also steadied.

 

GODSPEED (Suraj Narredu) lugged-out in the straight and carried MAISHA (S.Zervan) outwards for a few strides. Jockey Suraj Narredu was observed to have used his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. Since the use of whip was as a corrective measure, no action was initiated against the Jockey. Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race filly.

 

Jockey A.Imran Khan (ALEXANDRA MILLS) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

After the race, WESTPHALIA and POLYDENCES were found to be sound. WESTPHALIA had a gum injury.

 

WESTPHALIA (Neeraj Rawal) was placed fifth and CLASSIC MOMENT (P.Trevor) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

 

RACE NO.9(69) – THE  P.M.RUNGTA GOLD TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 10

 

At the start, KATNISS (App.S.Joseph, dr.5) jumped awkwardly outwards and at the same time ADMIRAL GRAY (V.Chandrakant, dr.6) jumped awkwardly inwards and made contact with KATNISS.

 

Near 700 metres, ANNABETH (App.Bhawani Singh) shifted in and inconvenienced WAR PRINCESS (Anil Baandal).

The post race urine sample of the winner of the 3rd, 4th, 6th & 8th race, viz. TRANCE, SIMPLY SWEET, WISH UPON A STAR and GODSPEED, as also that of MAISHA, LAURITA and ALEXANDRA MILLS (8th race), and the special sample of MOGADISHU (2nd race), MYLA ROSE (3rd race), AQUAMARINE (5th race), BURGUNDY ROSE (6th race) and BAY OF SECRET & VICTORIA HARBOUR (7th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
