RACE DAY REPORTS
FALSE RAILS WERE PLACED ABOUT 9 METRES WIDE ON THE FULL COURSE. FALSE RAILS WERE ALSO PLACED AT THE 1200 METRES CHUTE, WIDTH ABOUT 3 METRES.
THE STARTING GATES FOR THE 1000 METRES RACES WERE POSITIONED AT APPROXIMATELY 1037 METRES AND FOR 1800 METRES WERE PLACED AT APPROXIMATELY 1814 METRES.

RACE NO.1(132) – THE ACT IN TIME PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – 7 Runners
ZAAN (App.Bhawani Singh) planted in the stall, thus losing considerable ground at the start. Trainer Altamaash A.Ahmed has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
App.S.J.Sunil (ON THE QUEST) reported that his mount hung out throughout the race. Trainer Karthik G. has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
After the race, ON THE QUEST was found to be sound, but having a bruise at the right hind gaskin.
RACE NO.2(133) – THE J.E.HUGHES TROPHY : (About) 1200 Metres – 5 Runners
Near 900 metres, PEPE SENIOR (App.S.J.Sunil) shifted-out suddenly and made contact with DICTATOR (App.Santosh G.). App.S.J.Sunil has been cautioned.
Passing 800 metres, DICTATOR (App.Santosh G.) was tightened for room while racing between PEPE SENIOR (App.S.J.Sunil) and WILD WAVES (Mansoor Khan) and lost position.
Jockey Mansoor Khan (WILD WAVES) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.
After the race, IN THE LIMELIGHT was found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(134) – THE AMARILO PLATE : (About) 1000 Metres – 8 Runners
Soon after the start, FLYING TRIGGER (Darren Williams) suddenly shifted-in and made contact with ACKER BILK (S.S.Baria).
Jockey S.Sunil (BLACKBEAN) has been cautioned for shifting-in soon after the start.
Approaching 600 metres, ACKER BILK (S.S.Baria) lost position due to lack of room and while dropping back, hampered the running of ZAMBIAN (D.K.Ashish) who was following.
In the last 100 metres, ACKER BILK (S.S.Baria) shifted-in under the use of whip and caused interference to BLACKBEAN (S.Sunil). Jockey S.S.Baria has been fined Rs.1,000/-.
Jockey Kavraj Singh (LEX LUTHOR) reported that his mount ran green during the race.
ZAMBIAN (D.K.Ashish) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
Jockey S.Sunil (BLACKBEAN) reported that his mount lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
After the race, ADMISSION, AZADEGAN and BLACKBEAN were found to be sound.
RACE NO.4(135) – THE GLENSANDA PLATE: (About) 1800 Metres – 10 Runners
On arrival at the start, it was observed that the Tongue Strap on FEAST OF LOVE (T.S.Jodha) had come off. The same was fixed and the filly was stalled.
SKY LANTERN (P.Kamlesh) lost about 2 lengths at the start.
Passing 400 metres, CARTEL (C.S.Jodha) was inconvenienced while racing on the inside of SKY LANTERN (P.Kamlesh).
FEAST OF LOVE (T.S.Jodha) was inclined to lean inwards during the race, and while passing 600 metres the filly leaned-in and hampered the running of CARTEL (C.S.Jodha) who lost position. Trainer S.S.Shah has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
After the race, ALLEGIANCE and DANSE DEBONAIRE were found to be sound. ALLEGIANCE had lost its left fore plate and had a left fore hoof nail punctured wound.
RACE NO.5(136) – THE YANA PLATE: About) 1600 Metres – 10 Runners
Jockey S.G.Prasad (QUEST FOR LOVE, dr.10) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting-in soon after start.
Jockey Neeraj Rawal (HAUNTING MOMENTS) and Jockey S.Zervan (LA FEMME FLEUR) reported that their mounts did not get clear run in the straight.
Jockey Sandeep Jadhav (GLORIOUS OPINION) reported that he lost his rein momentarily near 400 metres.
Jockey D.K.Ashish (HAWKER) reported that his mount leaned-in while negotiating the bend. Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
HAIL THE KING (J.Pradeep) was observed to have trailed the field as the gelding did in its previous start. When questioned, Trainer Hosidar Daji stated that the gelding works well but has not been racing well. He added that the gelding had suffered a setback during the month of January 2014 and its first race after the setback was on 30 August 2014. He added that the new Monsoon Track may not have suited the gelding. To another question, he stated that the optimum body weight of the gelding is around 450 kg but presently he weighs about 470 kg and that despite his efforts the gelding has not been able to shed his weight. The Trainer informed that he would be changing the work pattern of the gelding. Trainer Hosidar Daji has been asked to ensure that the gelding runs with the field competitively in future.
After the race, LA FEMME FLEUR was observed to have lost its right hind plate and had a clip injury at the right hind bulb of heel.
RACE NO.6(137) – THE PANCHSHIL JUVENILE MILLION: (About) 1400 Metres – 9 Runners
Soon after the start, SHIVALIKS GLORY (Amyn Merchant, dr.8) shifted-in on to CONGRESSIONAL (A.Sandesh, dr.7), who in turn went on to SAPORELLI (Dashrath Singh), who in turn tightened REPLICA (Kavraj Singh), who in turn hampered DISCOURSE (Neeraj Rawal). In this incident, REPLICA and DISCOURSE lost their positions. Jockey Amyn Merchant has been fined Rs.2,000/-.
Near 900 metres, SATELLITE (P.Trevor) shifted-in as the filly was being settled and went on to REPLICA (Kavraj Singh), who in turn shifted-in on to HIS HIGHNESS (Darren Williams). Jockey P.Trevor has been asked to be more careful.
After the race, CONGRESSIONAL, FIBONACCI SEQUENCE, HIS HIGHNESS, MYSTIC ROMANCE and REPLICA were found to be sound.
REPLICA (Kavraj Singh) was placed fifth and DISCOURSE (Neeraj Rawal) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.
RACE NO.7(138) – THE SO PERFECT PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres – 10 Runners
At the request of Trainer H.J.Antia, BLUE FLAME was examined at 1040 hours on 14th September 2014 and was found to be sore by left hind leg and also had an injury on the right fore knee. As such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
At the start, WALK OF FAME (Vinod Shinde, dr.5) jumped awkwardly outwards and at the same time ROYAL SAPPHIRE (A.Sandesh, dr.6) jumped awkwardly inwards and made contact with each other, wherein ROYAL SAPPHIRE shifted out after the contact and at the same time WAR PRINCESS (Anil Baandal, dr.8) also jumped awkwardly inwards and made contact with ROYAL SAPPHIRE.
Approaching 800 metres, WALK OF FAME (Vinod Shinde) was inconvenienced as DESERT RAGE (Dashrath Singh) shifted inwards. Jockey Dashrath Singh has been cautioned.
After the race, RISING ANGEL was observed to have a cut injury at the left fore pastern.
RACE NO.8(139) – THE ISMAIL KHAN PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – 12 Runners
ANGEL IN THE SKY (Vinod Shinde) was reluctant to be stalled. ESSENCE OF LOVE (Vikram Jodha) was restless in the stall. Trainers Dallas Todywalla and H.J.Antia have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
MY INSPIRATION (T.S.Jodha) lost about 3 lengths at the start.
Approaching 600 metres, ANGEL IN THE SKY (Vinod Shinde) became unbalanced and was steadied while racing on the inside of VIXEN (Neeraj Rawal).
ABDERUS (App.Bhawani Singh) lugged-out while negotiating the bend and carried ANCIENT TREASURE (Amyn Merchant) outwards. App.Bhawani Singh has been cautioned for making no effort to control his mount and Trainer Altamaash A.Ahmed has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of ANCIENT TREASURE and a report will be submitted shortly.
After the race, ABDERUS, AFFIRMATION, ANCIENT TREASURE, EARTH SENSOR and MT TIANMEN (examined on 15/09/2014), were found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winners of the 2nd, 3rd, 5th & 6th race, viz. GREEK GOD, LEX LUTHOR, HAWKER and CONGRESSIONAL, as also that of SATELLITE & SHIVALIKS GLORY (6th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
