RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE BE PLACED FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1200 METRES (MILE CHUTE) LEADING TO 2 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES AND THEREAFTER 3 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST.FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH RAILS WERE PLACED FROM ITS OIRIGINAL POINT FROM 1200 METRES LEADING TO 2 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.
RACE NO.1 (174) – THE ARKTOUROS MILLION: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS - 10
On arrival at the start, at the request of App. N. Bhosale, MARIELLA was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O., who certified her fit to races.
MARIELLA (App. N. Bhosale, dr.4) threw its head up at the start.
FANTASTIC FLARE (K. Nazil, dr.9) lost about two lengths at the start.
At the start, TYRONE BLACK (S. Zervan, dr.5) jumped outwards and made contact with LEO THE LION (App. Mustakim Alam, dr.6).
At the start, LIGHT OF LIFE (Kiran Naidu, dr.7) jumped outwards thereby carrying ZARAFAT (A.Sandesh, dr.8) and GALLOPING GLORY (P.Trevor, dr.10) outwards.
Passing the 1300 metres, ZARAFAT (A. Sandesh) leaned inwards thereby inconveniencing TYRONE BLACK (S. Zervan) and MARLBORO MAN (J. Chinoy). Jockey A. Sandesh has been cautioned.
After the race, TYRONE BLACK was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by left fore, as such, the gelding has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, ZARAFAT was observed to have lost its left hind shoe, NEILINA was trotted and found to be sound but was observed to have an injury on right hind fetlock, MARIELLA & LEO THE LION were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.2 (175) – THE BLUE HORIZON MILLION: (ABOUT) 2000 METRES – RUNNERS - 10
BEYOND MEASURE (Vishal N. Bunde, dr.3) lost about two lengths at the start.
At the start, KIMIKO (C. S. Jodha, dr.10) jumped outwards and had to be steadied.
At the start, LION KING (App. Haridas Gore, dr.6) jumped outwards and went across MARIANA (Kirtish Bhagat, dr.7) causing the latter to be steadied.
Approaching the 1600 metres, LION KING (App. Haridas Gore) veered out despite the riders efforts until passing the 1400 metres. Trainer Shazaan Shah has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, Jockey Vishal N. Bunde (BEYOND MEASURE) reported that his mount was inclined outwards throughout the race, despite his efforts. After the race, BEYOND MEASURE was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by left fore, as such, the gelding has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
It was
observed that the racing color of STUNNING VISUAL (K. Nazil)
was misplaced before the race. As such, the mare was permitted to race in
emergency racing colors i.e. “ALL BLACK”.
After the race, MULTIVERSE, KIMIKO & LION KING were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.3 (176) – THE STAR FORTUNE MILLION: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS - 9
Passing the 100 metres, BRAVE BEAUTY (K. Nazil) shifted out thereby carrying SAIGON (Vivek G.) outwards.
After the race, Jockey C. S. Jodha (OPUS DEI) reported that his mount was hanging out in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, STAR PROSPERITY, OPUS DEI, BRAVE BEAUTY & EMPOWER were trotted and found to be sound.
After the race, at the request of Trainer M. Narredu, endoscopy was performed on STAR PROSPERITY and no abnormality was detected.
The Equine Hospital reported that EMPOWER had right eye injury with ulcer (sore).
RACE NO.4 (177) – THE R.W.I.T.C. LTD MULTI - MILLION: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES –RUNNERS- 12
At the start, TRIGGER (Amyn Merchant, dr.8) jumped inwards and made contact with STORM CLOUD (App. Mustakim Alam, dr.7).
Soon after the start, ASHWA SUPREMO (Vishal N. Bunde) shifted in under urgings thereby tightening and inconveniencing AFFLUENCE (K. Nazil) causing the latter to check and drop back, thereafter, CELESTIAL (P. S. Chouhan) shifted in thereby carrying ASHWA SUPREMO inwards due to which SCARLET SENSATION (Santosh G.) racing on its haunches had to be checked. After questioning all concerned, Jockeys Vishal N. Bunde and P. S. Chouhan have been fined Rs.3,000/- each.
After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh (TOUCH OF GOLD) reported that his mount was running green throughout the race.
After the race, Jockey P. S. Chouhan (CELESTIAL) reported that passing the 400 metres, he was denied a clear passage until passing the 150 metres.
After the race, CELESTIAL & ASHWA SUPREMO were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.5 (178) – THE GROMOR MILLION: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 12
At the request of Trainer Vinesh, CHARLIE was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at 09.15 a.m. on 4th April 2024, at the stables and was found to be sore by right fore, as such, the horse was certified unfit to race and was permitted to be withdrawn on Veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
At the start, MISTY (App. Haridas Gore, dr.10) jumped inwards and made contact with ATAASH (Imran Chisty, dr.9).
Approaching the 150 metres, ATAASH (Imran Chisty) shifted out under the use of whip and went across MISS AMERICAN PIE (N. S. Parmar) causing the latter to check and change course. Jockey Imran Chisty has been cautioned.
After the race, Jockey N. S. Parmar (MISS AMERICAN PIE) reported that his mount was hanging-in in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer M. K. Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, MISS AMERICAN PIE was trotted and found to be sound.
The Equine Hospital reported that DEXA had left eye injury with ulcer (sore).
RACE NO.6 (179) – THE ZAVARAY S. POONAWALLA SPRINTERS' CHALLENGE: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 8
At the start, TIME AND TIDE (P. S. Chouhan, dr.3) jumped outwards and made contact with SIEGE COURAGEOUS (Vivek G. dr.4), thereafter, TIME AND TIDE leaned inwards and went across CELLINI (N. S. Parmar, dr.2) causing the latter to be steadied. Jockey P. S. Chouhan has been cautioned.
After the race, THE PROTECTOR was observed to have a gum injury.
RACE NO.7 (180) – THE BAY OF ANGELS MILLION: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 7
At the start, MAJESTIC WARRIOR (App. Mustakim Alam, dr.4) jumped outwards at the same time CIPHER (App. Haridas Gore, dr.6) jumped inwards and they made contact with MAYSARA (App. N. Bhosale, dr.5) who was drawn between them.
Passing the 200 metres, ULTIMO (Neeraj Rawal) shifted out under urgings thereby carrying MAYSARA (App. N. Bhosale) outwards. Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been cautioned.
After the race, at the request of Trainer H. J. Antia, endoscopy was performed on MAYSARA and no abnormality was detected.

The urine samples of the winner of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th race, viz. GALLOPING GLORY, ALEXANDROS, EL GRECO & TURN AND BURN, were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
The urine and blood samples of the winner of the 5th, 6th & 7th race, viz. ROYAL MYSORE, TIME AND TIDE & BUBBLY BOY, and the special samples of MULTIVERSE (2nd race), STAR PROSPERITY (3rd race) & CELESTIAL (4th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
The blood sample of LEO THE LION (1st race), was collected for detection of prohibited substance.
