RACE DAY REPORTS

 

FALSE RAILS WERE PLACED FROM 1400 METERS ABOUT 1 METRE WIDE TILL 1000 METRES AND 2.5 METRES WIDE TILL THE WINNING POST. FALSE RAILS WERE ALSO PLACED FROM 1200 (METRES CHUTE) TILL 1000 METRES WIDTH ABOUT 3 METRES.

RACE NO 1. (162) THE WILD BLOSSOM PLATE: -(About) 1O00 Metres. Runners -8

 

Soon after the start, ALASKA (Sunny Chinoy) shifted in and inconvenienced ROSES ALL THE WAY (SS Rathore) and FIRECRACKER (H.G.Rathod) who was checked. Jockey Sunny Chinoy has been reprimanded for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

Near 600 metres, PERSONAL POINT (Y.S.Srinath) shifted in due to which ARISTOCRATICAL (App.Shammi Khan) was tightened and as a result shifted out and in turn forced GLORY OF LOVE (App.S.Zervan) to shift out. Jockey YS Srinath has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

ARISTROCRATICAL (App.Shammi Khan) was inclined to lug out during the race. Nevertheless, App.Shammi Khan has been cautioned for failing to make sufficient effort to control his mount.

 

After the race, PERSONAL POINT was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 8 weeks being the second occasion. The filly has to be passed fit to race by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race FIRECRACKER was observed to have an abrasion on the bulb of heel and ALASKA had an abrasion on the right hind fetlock.

 

RACE NO 2. (163) THE RADICAL FORCE CUP - (About) 2O00 Metres. Runners -6

 

Jockey Y.S.Srinath (SUPREME FALCON) reported that his horse hung out in the straight and in the in the final stages of the race went across WESTERN CHALLENGE (Aadesh Kumar) who itself was inclined to lug in. Trainers Karthik G and SK Sunderji have been asked to take remedial measures with their respective charges before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO 3. (164) THE YOGENDER SINGH CUP – DIV.II-(About) 1200 Metres. Runners -10

 

Soon after the start TULLAMORE (I.Shaikh) shifted out and jostled with ADALLIA (Nirmal Jodha) taking the filly’s ground and further shifted out and made contact with CHARLIE PARKER (J.Pradeep). Jockey I.Shaikh has been fined Rs.5000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

Jockey I Shaikh (TULLAMORE) has been fined Rs.1000/- for using his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

Jockey Riyaz Shaikh (RED MESA) has been reprimanded for using his whip with the right hand while his mount was shifting out in the straight.

 

After the race, ANY TIME MONEY was observed to have a gum injury.

 

 

 

RACE NO 4. (165) THE YOGENDER SINGH CUP – DIV.I-(About) 1200 Metres. Runners -10

 

At the start, MORPHEUS (AJ Nilesh) and STEFANO (R Shelar) threw the head up and jumped out awkwardly.

 

At the start, THUNDERING TAN (S.Zervan) jumped out awkwardly towards the inside, as such, App. S. Zervan has been asked to be more alert at the gates.

 

Jockey J. Pradeep (CLASSIC STAR) has been cautioned for using his whip with the right hand while his mount was shifting soon after entering the straight.

 

RACE NO 5. (166) THE KINSKI PLATE -(About) 1800 Metres. Runners -11

 

At the start, BINEE (Vikram Walker) was slow into its strides, losing about 2 lengths at the start.

 

App. A.M.Tograllu (ITEM BOMB) reported that his mount hung out in the straight. Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, LONE TROJAN was observed to have an abrasion on the left hid fetlock.

 

RACE NO 6. (167) THE J.E.HUGHES TROPHY -(About) 1400 Metres. Runners - 7

 

At the request of  Tr.Nosher Cama, BALANCE DE POWER was examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. at 1730 hours on 27/09/2008 and found to have fever, as such, the mare was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn on veterinary grounds.

 

At the request of  Tr.Narendra Lagad, ARKHOS was examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. at 2000 hours on 27/09/2008 and found to have fever, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn on veterinary grounds.

 

At the start, SIROCO (App Kishore Kadam) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside.

 

Trainer Mansoor Shah and Jockey K.P.G.Appu were questioned regarding the poor performance of PARTY CELEBRATION in this race. The jockey stated that he was instructed to sit well up and to do his best in the straight. The Jockey stated that the horse did not gallop at all.

 

Trainer Mansoor Shah has been fined Rs.1000/- for bringing his charge RUBY ROCKET in to the Parade Ring with incorrect Saddle Cloth number.

 

An enquiry has been initiated in to the running and riding of PARTY CELEBRATION and the improved performance of SEA STORM and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, SEA STORM was observed to have an abrasion on the right hind coronet, fetlock and pastern.

 

RACE NO 7. (168) THE PANCHSHIL MILLION:-(About) 1200 Metres. Runners -7

 

At the start, HYMNS TO FREEDOM (P Kamlesh, dr. 2) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and at the same time AURORA AUREALIS (M Narredu, dr. 4) jumped out awkwardly towards the inside, as a result HIGHLAND GLORY (Amyn Merchant, dr. 3) did not get a clear run and a few strides later both HYMNS TO FREEDOM and AURORA AUREALIS made contact with each other.

 

An objection was lodged in this race by Jockey C. Rajendra rider of ACCUMULATE placed 2nd against jockey K.P.G.Appu rider of EXUBERANCE placed first. The reason being in the last 50 metres jockey Appu shifted out and took his ground which cost him a certain race. The Stewards after due deliberations decided to overrule the objection.

 

Jockey C. Rajendra has been fined Rs.3000/- for improper use of the whip on his mount wherein he had persisted with the use of the whip with his left hand while his mount was shifting in.

 

 

EXUBERANCE (KPG Appu) was inclined to lug out in the straight. Trainer Mansoor Shah has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race.

 

Jockey C Rajendra (ACCUMULATE) has been fined Rs.1000/- for using his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

An enquiry has been initiated into the poor performance of BEE QUICK and report will be submitted shortly.

 

RACE NO 8. (169) THE GREAT GUNS PLATE -(About) 1O00 Metres. Runners – 9

 

At the request of  Tr.Altaf Hussain, ARABIAN PRIDE was examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. at 0900 hours on the race day 28/09/2008 and found to have fever, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn on veterinary grounds.

 

Approaching 800 meters, INTIMACY (Lisa Jones) shifted in due to which AMBERLEY (Dashrath Singh) who was racing on the inside of INTIMACY was forced to shift out and took the running of HIDDEN DRAGON (AJ Nilesh) and jostled with ELEMENTTO ANGEL (App Kishore Kadam). Jockey Lisa Jones has been fined Rs.3000/ -for failing to exercise proper control over her mount.

 

RACE NO 9. (170) THE URANIAPLATE -(About) 1400 Metres. Runners - 10

 

At the request of  Tr.Faisal A.Abbas, ES SIDER was examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. on the race day (28/09/2008) and found to have fever, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn on veterinary grounds.

 

At the request of  Tr.Robert D’Mellow, ANAMIKA was examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. at 1800 hours on 26/09/2008 and found to be suffering from colic, as such, the filly was certified unfit to race and hence was withdrawn on veterinary grounds.

 

At the start, SOLID ROCK (Nirmal Jodha) jumped out awkwardly towards the inside and went on to ELEMENTTO CODE (Aadesh Kumar). Trainer Nirad Karanjawala has been asked to give his charge more Gate Practice before next accepting to race with the gelding.

RISING PRINCESS, SEA STORM, EXUBERANCE & ELEMENTTO ANGEL and also that of ACCUMULATE & HIGHLAND GLORY (7th race) and the special sample of PERSONAL POINT (1st race), NEEDFORSPEED (4th race), PARTY CELEBRATION (6th race), BEE QUICK (7th race) & THANDA (9th race) have been collected for detection of the presence of prohibited substance.
