The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Saturday, September 20, 2008 have decided to reframe the under-mentioned races with fresh entries for the following race day.

 

Special Race Day

Saturday, 27th September 2008

 

1:         The Idar Gold Cup (Grade 3) – A Gold Cup value about Rs.30,000 presented by Pratap Stud Farm. A Sweepstakes of Rs.7,500, with Rs.5,00,000 added. Winner, the Cup and 60% of the total stakes; second, 20% of the total stakes; third, 10% of the total stakes; fourth, 5% of the total stakes; fifth, 3% of the total stakes; sixth, 2% of the total stakes. A Salver to the Breeder of the Winner. ( In the event of a Foreign Horse winning this race, the Breeder’s Salver will be presented to the Owner of the Winner.)

 

For Horses, 4 years old and over.

 

Foreign geldings, foreign rigs, foreign entires subsequently gelded in this country are not eligible.

 

Weights        :- Foreign Horses 4 years old and over, 57 kgs;

                         Indian Horses 4 years old and over, 49 kg.

 

Penalties for Indian Horses:-After April 30th 2006 winner of a Grade 3 race, 2.5kg.,

                                             or of 2 Grade 3 races, 3.5 kg.,

                                             or of 3 or more Grade 3 races or a Grade 2 race, 5.5 kg.,

                                             or of 2 Grade 2 races, 7.5 kg.,

                                             or of 3 or more Grade 2 races or a Grade 1 race, 10.5 kg.,

                                             or of 2 or more Grade 1 races, 13 kg.

 

Penalties for Foreign Horses:- After April 30th 2006 winner of a race 2 kg.,

                                                 or of 2 races 3 kg.,

                                                 or of 3 or more races 6 kg.

 

In Addition :- Winner of a race, other than a Graded race, of value Rs.4,00,000/- or over 4 kg.

 

(Top weight for Indian Horses not to exceed 62 kg., even if the accumulated penalties exceed 62 kg.)

 

Allowances   :-  Fillies and Mares, 1.5 kg.

 

Distance        :- (About) 2400 Metres.

 

N. B.:  If the top weighted acceptor is below 59 kg., it shall be raised to 59 kg. and the weights of other acceptors shall be raised relatively.

 

Entry, Rs.3,750, to close on date and time on which the entries for the day close.

 

Forfeit, Rs.3,750, for horses not struck out at acceptance stage.

 

2:         The Radical Force Cup - A Cup value about Rs.15,000 or in Specie at the option of the Owner. Winner, the Cup and Rs.1,77,000; second, Rs.74,500; third, Rs.40,000; fourth, Rs.18,500.

For Maiden Indian Horses, 3 years old only.

Weights – Colts and Geldings, 56 Kg.;  Fillies,  54.5 Kg.

(About) 2000 Metres.  

 

Also note that The Sir Bruce Trophy advertised for Sunday, 28th September 2008 has been renamed as The Yogender Singh Cup.
