FLASE RAILS WERE PLACED ABOUT 6 METRES WIDE FROM 1200 METRES CHUTE TILL THE WINNING POST. FALSE RAILS WERE ALSO PLACED AT THE BACK STRETCH FROM 1600 METRES ABOUT 4 METRES WIDE AND INCREASING TO 6 METRES WIDE AT THE 1000 METRES.

On a request from Trainer CD Katrak, permission was given to Trainer SK Sunderji to saddle his charges OPTIMIST and SEA STORM in the 5th and 7th race respectively at his (Trainer CD Katrak’s) risk and responsibility.

 

RACE NO 1. (95) THE GIRONDE PLATE (About) 1000 Metres.   Runners - 9

 

ARAMINTA was slow in the strides, losing about a length at the start.

 

At the start MR GREEDY (Vikram Walkar) shifted out forcing TEASER (App.Ishwar Pardeshi) to shift out and jostle with MELBA (Aadesh Kumar) due to which MELBA was awkwardly placed behind the heels of TE QUIERO (App. Kishore Kadam) who had  itself changed its course inwards. Jockey Vikram Walkar has been fined Rs.1000/- for making insufficient efforts in order to control his mount.

 

Near 900 metres CLASSIC SPIRIT (M. Narredu) commenced to shift out and in the process hampered the running of TEASER (App.Ishwar Pardeshi) who was forced to shift out and in the process forced MELBA (Aadesh Kumar) to travel wide. Jockey M.Narredu has been fined Rs.3000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

LOVELY FEELINGS (Hanumant Singh) was inclined to lug out entering the straight. Trainer S.S.Shah has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race.

 

Trainer M.K.Jadhav was questioned regarding the comparative performance of his charge MR.GREEDY. Trainer M.K.Jadhav stated that this was the 3rd run of its life and had unsoundness problem in his initial career. He further added that last time when the horse jumped out of the Gates, he swerved outwards but the jockey managed to control the horse and had finished last and despite hanging out throughout the race he had finished 6 to 7 lengths behind the winner. The manner of running of the horse was reported in the Race Day Report. He had taken remedial measures with the horse by changing the bit. Trainer M.K.Jadhav concluded that he had not fancied the horse. The explanation was noted.

 

After the race, MELBA was observed to have broken a blood vessel and has been stopped from racing for the stipulated period of 8 weeks. The filly has to be passed fit to race by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

 

RACE NO 2. (96) THE RAMBUS PLATE (About) 1200 Metres.  Runners - 9

 

MYPETHONY was sluggish losing about a length at the start.

 

Near 600 metres, MYPETHONEY (App. A.M.Tograllu) shifted out despite jockeys efforts which resulted in AMBER CAT (Aadesh Kumar) clipping the hind heels of MYPETHONY whereby AMBER CAT stumbled and fell. YAAN (S.S.Baria) and YOWZA (Samuel Fargeat) who were racing behind AMBER CAT had to be checked by their respective riders to avoid collision with the fallen horse. Since the incident was accidental no action has been initiated against anyone.

 

After the race, MYPETHONEY was observed to have bleeding injury right fore pastern and LIVERPOOL had a gum injury.

After the race, FOREST MUSIC was observed to have an abrasion on the right side saddle area and AMBER CAT had an abrasion on the right elbow, right stifle and injury on the left hind distal limbs.

 

RACE NO 3. (97) THE ATMOSPHERE PLATE - DIVISION II  (About) 1200 Metres.   Runners - 11

 

AMARANZA jumped out slowly losing about 3 lengths at the start.

 

ROYAL EMPIRE (Ms Lisa Jones) was observed to be running green throughout the race.

 

Soon after entering the straight, RED MESA (Akash Agarwal) shifted in and took the running of ROYAL EMPIRE (Ms Lisa Jones) who had to be checked. Jockey Akash Agarwal has been reprimanded for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

After the race, ARABIAN SPEED was observed to have an abrasion on the left hind canon.

 

RACE NO 4. (98) THE ATMOSPHERE PLATE - DIVISION I (About) 1200 Metres.  Runners - 12

 

At the start, MORPHEUS & VIJAYI BHAVA jumped out slowly losing about 4 lengths and 2 lengths respectively. Trainer Faisal A Abbas has been asked to give more Gate practice to his charge MORPHEUS and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.  

Jockey P.Belose (MEDTIAS PRIDE) reported that his mount hung out during the race. Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, SEA GULL was observed to have a bleeding injury on the left knee.

 

RACE NO 5. (99) THE PENNYWISE TROPHY  (About) 1400 Metres.   Runners - 12

 

On the way towards the Gates, FIRE VAULT dislodged its rider Jockey S.S.Baria who was hurt and was unable to ride; hence, the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Orders.

THEODOROS was restless as the start was effected, as such, it lost about 2 lengths.

 

FULL FAITH (Khalander) lugged-in in the early part of the race. Trainer Robert D Mellow has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race.

 

Approaching 1000 metres, MAGICAL MANTRA (App AM Tograllu) was checked when ANAMIKA (App Ishwar Pardeshi) started dropping back.

 

Near 600 metres DANCE AWAY (Hanumant Singh) shifted in and hampered the running of ANAMIKA (App. Ishwar Pardeshi). Jockey Hanumant Singh has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

App Ishwar Pardeshi (ANAMIKA) has been asked to be forceful in his riding efforts on his mount.

 

After the race, ANAMIKA was observed to have an abrasion on the right saddle, left hind coronet and right fore fetlock and FULL FAITH had an abrasion on the right hind canon.

 

RACE NO 6. (100) THE GOEL GANGA DEVELOPMENTS MILLION (About) 1200 Metres. Runners - 10

 

At the start, SECRET ADMIRER (Wayne Smith) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and made contact with STAR ATTRACTION (Hanumant Singh).

 

Soon after the start, BEE QUICK (Neeraj Rawal) shifted in and inconvenienced SECRET ADMIRER (Wayne Smith). Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

Approaching the 800 metres the right stirrup leather on SOPHIE (S.S.Rathore) snapped whereby the jockey lost his balance and fell.

 

ARTISTIC LIASON (Malcolm Kharadi) was held up for a clear run between 400 metres and 200 Metres.

 

After the race, HEAVY MONEY was observed to have a bleeding injury on the right fore bulb of heel and SOPHIE had a wolf tooth on left side.

RACE NO 7. (101) THE DR. S. R. CAPTAIN TROPHY  (About) 1400 Metres.   Runners - 12

At the start, TIGRESSE NOIRE jumped out slowly and did not raise an immediate gallop. SPIRITUALL was reluctant to be stalled. Trainers Dallas Todywalla and P Shroff have been asked to give their respective charges more Gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.

 

Near 300 metres, FAIR TACTICS (Neeraj Rawal) shifted in under use of the whip and caused interference to SEA STORM (Zameer Sayyed) who was racing along the rails. Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been reported to the Stewards for careless riding. The Stewards interviewed Jockey Neeraj Rawal and decided to suspend his Jockey’s License for Careless Riding w.e.f 10th September 2008 to 13th September 2008 (both days inclusive). (Permitted to ride work/mock race).

 

Near 100 metres BALTHAZAAR (Nirmal Jodha) shifted in and caused interference to RUBY ROCKET (App.Shammi Khan). Jockey Nirmal Jodha has been fined Rs.3000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

After the race, SILENT PRESENCE was observed to have an injury on the left fore bulb of his heel.

 

RACE NO 8. (102) THE ANCIENT WARRIOR PLATE (About) 1000 Metres. Runners - 8

 

At the start, KISS AWAY played up and cast herself underneath the rear flap of its Stall. Due to this, STELLAR AFFAIR in the adjoining Stall was disturbed and played up, hurting herself. Both the horses were examined by the Club’s Sr. VO who certified them unfit to race; hence both the horses were withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. Trainer Bezan Chenoy has been asked to give his charge more Gate practice and show to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.

 

Approaching 200 meters, ELEMENTTO ANGEL (Aadesh Kumar) allowed his mount to shift in due to which PURE FOR SURE ((R Shelar) was hampered for run and shifted in, inconveniencing RAQUEL (APP NS Parmar). Jockey Aadesh Kumar has been severely cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

In the final stages, HEIFITZ (M Narredu) shifted in under use of the whip and inconvenienced ELEMENTTO ANGEL (Aadesh Kumar). Jockey M Narredu has been severely cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
