The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Saturday, 9th August 2008 accepted the generous offer of The Irish Thoroughbred Marketing to sponsor races on Friday, 24th October 2008. Hence,

 

1: The Amberland Plate advertised for the above day will now be,

 

The Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Trophy – Irish Thoroughbred Marketing will present a Trophy value about Rs.25,000 and contribute Rs.3,50,000 towards stakes. A Sweepstakes of Rs.4,250 with Rs.75,000 added from the fund. Winner, the Trophy and 57% of the total stakes; second, 24% of the total stakes; third, 13% of the total stakes; fourth, 6% of the total stakes.

 

Irish Thoroughbred Marketing will also present a Trophy to the Trainer of the winning horse.

 

For Maiden Indian Horses, 3 years old only.

(Horses which have run at least thrice but not placed 2nd, 3rd or 4th even once, ineligible).

 

Weights – Colts and Geldings, 56 Kg.;  Fillies,  54.5 Kg.

 

(About) 1000 Metres.  

 

Entry, Rs.1,062, to close at 4.00 p.m. on Friday, 26th September, 2008.

(Horses, which become eligible after the closing of entries, may be entered on date and time on which the entries for the day close on full payment of Entry and First Forfeit fees.)

 

Final Entry to close on date and time on which the entries for the day close @ 15 times of the total entry fee inclusive of all forfeits i.e. Rs.63,750.
