RACE DAY REPORTS

 

FALSE RAILS WERE PLACED 2 METRES WIDE FROM 1200 METRES TILL THE WINNING POST.

 

On a request from Tr. Faisal A Abbas permission was granted to Tr. Altamash Ahmed to saddle his charges BU ATTIFEL & TRIBAL WARRIOR (1st race), SOCARORO (2nd race), ZARZAITINE (3rd race), EL BUNDUQ (4th race), TAPIS & EAGLE MOUNTAIN (5th race), TYUMEN (7th race), MORPHEUS & CABINDA (8th race) and RING BEARER (10th race) at his (Tr. Faisal A Abbas’) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Tr. Bezan Chenoy permission was granted to Tr. Narendra Lagad to saddle his charges KISS AWAY (3rd Race) and ARES (9th Race) respectively at his (Tr. Bezan Chenoy’s ) risk and responsibility.

 

RACE NO.1 - (64) THE STAR WISH PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres.   – Runners -9

 

BU ATTIFEL (V.Kotwal) was sluggish losing about a length at the start.

 

Approaching 800 meters, STUBBS (Vikram Walkar) was inconvenienced while racing between LITTLE PRINCESS (Satish Nayak) on his inside and DISCOVER (CS Jodha) on his outside and was steadied and lost position.

 

An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of BU ATTIFEL and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

RACE NO.2 - (65) THE ESTERELLI PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres. – Runners – 10

 

SEILLANS (M.Narredu) played up in its stall. The filly was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr. VO who certified her fit to race. In view of this behavior of the filly, Trainer Vinayak has been asked to show her to the satisfaction of the Starter in the morning trials before next accepting to race.

 

FLASHING FLAME (S.N.Chavan) was slow to begin and lost about 3 lengths at the start.

 

Near 1100 metres, YOURETHETOUCH (S.S.Rathore) was steadied. 

 

Near 1000 meters, due the a tightly packed field SECRET PILGRIM (Nirmal Jodha) was tightened for room while racing on the inside of SOCARORO (Samuel Fargeat) and in the process SECRET PILGRIM lost its position and while dropping back, hampered the running of GATRAVAT (App Ishwar Pardeshi). Since the incident was accidental, no action has been initiated against anyone.

 

Approaching the 200 metres, PRINCE LOCHINVA (Sunny Chinoy) shifted in under use of the whip and caused interference to SEILLANS (M.Narredu). Jockey Sunny Chinoy has been fined Rs.5000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

After the race, ROMANTIC IMPACT was observed to have a bleeding injury on the right fore canon and GENTLE KNIGHT had an abrasion on the left hind pastern.

 

RACE NO.3 = (66) THE MAC BRUCE PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres. – Runners – 10

 

GAME OF POWER (App. Shammi Khan) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside whereby the jockey lost his balance momentarily.

 

At the start, ZARZAITINE (Aadesh Kumar) shifted out and made contact with DESERT SKY (Neeraj Rawal) and ricocheted onto JEWEL STAR (S.N.Chavan) and in the process ZARZAITINE (Aadesh Kumar) was steadied.

 

Passing the 400 metres, JEWEL STAR (S.N.Chavan) shifted out and hampered the running of ZARZAITINE (Aadesh Kumar). Jockey S.N.Chavan explained that due to the kickback he had pulled his horse to the outside and made his move. The explanation was not accepted and he was cautioned for traveling wide and hampering the run of ZARZAITINE.. 

After the race, BLUE DAFFODILS was observed to have an abrasion on both the hind fetlocks,  PURE FOR SURE had an abrasion on the right hind fetlock and gaskin and  STELLAR AFFAIR had an abrasion on the left nostril.

 

RACE NO.4 - (67) THE GOVERNOR’S TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres. – Runners – 9

 

The Sr. VO reported that Trainer S.K.Sunderji had declared his charge COURAGE UNDER FIRE and was found in breach of the notice with regard to administration of vaccine. As such COURAGE UNDER FIRE was withdrawn and Trainer SK Sunderji was fined Rs.10,000/- for his lapse.

 

Near 900 meters, FOREST NATIVE (Satish Nayak) was hampered when PHOSPHOR (Nirmal Jodha) shifted in   trying to take the gap on the inside of ADAMS LAW (A.M.Tograllu). Jockey Nirmal Jodha has been fined Rs.3000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

ADAMS LAW (App.A.M.Tograllu) drifted out soon after the start. Trainer Magansingh P Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

HIGHLAND MUSIC (Zameer Sayyed) hung out in during the race and approaching 600 meters made contact with ADAMS LAW (App. A.M.Tograllu)  who tightened on to SPARKLER (Anil Baandal) and ricocheted back on to HIGHLAND MUSIC (Zameer Sayyed). In view this behavior of HIGHLAND MUSIC, Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to take remedial measures and to show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards  in a Mock race, before next accepting with him to race.

 

The saddle on CENTREOFATTENTION (Samuel Fargeat) had slipped back during the race. Trainer Arti Doctor has been fined Rs.2000/- for not taking sufficient care in saddling of her charge.

 

RACE NO.5 - (68) THE SUB–AREA COMMANDER’S TROPHY (DIV.II) : (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 8

 

Soon after the start, MYSTERIOUS HEIGHTS (T.S.Jodha) shifted in and jostled with ARTISTIC LIASON (Y.S.Srinath) and later shifted in again and took its running whereby ARTISTIC LIASON (Y.S.Srinath) clipped the hind heels of MYSTERIOUS HEIGHTS (TS Jodha) and stumbled which could have caused an accident. As such, Jockey T. S. Jodha was reported to the Stewards for Careless Riding.

The Stewards interviewed Jockey TS Jodha and not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by the jockey decided to suspend his Jockey’s License w.e.f. 1st September 2008 to 6th September 2008  (both days inclusive) and to fine him a sum of Rs.5000/- for Careless Riding. (Permitted to ride work/ Mock race).

 

Passing the 200 metres, ARTISTIC LIASON (Y.S.Srinath) shifted in under use of the whip and took the running of MARMARIS (S.P.Ranjane). Jockey Y.S.Srinath has been fined Rs.2000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

Jockey Khalander (EAGLE MOUNTAIN) has been reprimanded for traveling wide during the race.

 

Jockey T.S.Jodha (MYSTERIOUS HEIGHTS) has been fined Rs.1000/- for using his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

After the race, ARTISTIC LIASON was observed to have an injury on the left fore medial canon and an abrasion on the right hind coronet and MYSTERIOUS HEIGHTS had a wolf tooth on both sides of his mouth.

 

RACE NO.6 - (69) THE MUSIC MAN PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 10

 

At the request of  Narendra Lagad, SPICA was examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. at 1020 hours on the race day (17/08/08) and found to have swelling of the right knee, as such, the filly was certified unfit to race and hence withdrawn on veterinary grounds. 

STRATHENDRICK was permitted to be withdrawn on compassionate grounds.

 

Near 1000 metres, JUVENTUS (T.S.Jodha) shifted in due to which ARKHOS (Sunny Chinoy) who was racing on the inside of JUVENTUS also shifted in, as a result ATHENA (C.Rajendra) was tightened and had to be checked by its Rider. It was observed that Jockey T.S.Jodha (JUVENTUS) had tried to correct his mount, as such no action was initiated in the matter.

 

Near 200 metres, MAJOR WAGER (R.Shelar) ducked in suddenly and caused interference to FLAMES OF FIRE (S.P.Ranjane). The Sr. VO was requested to examine the gelding and he reported that no abnormality was detected.

After the race, APPRECIATE was found to be sore by the right fore. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO.7 - (70) THE F.D.WADIA TROPHY (GR.II):– (About) 1400 Metres – Runners – 8

 

FEET OF FLAMES (C.Rajendra) and  TYUMEN (Samuel Fargeat) were placed 5th and 6th by the Judge.

 

RACE NO.8 (71) - THE SUB-AREA COMMANDER’S TROPHY – (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 9

 

PRINCESS RUBY (K.P.G.Appu) was fractious and restless in its stall. In view of this behavior of the filly, Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and to show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, MORPHEUS (V Kotwal) threw its head up and UPROAR (R Shelar) jumped out awkwardly from the Gates.

 

PRINCESS RUBY (K.P.G.Appu) hung out during the race as such the jockey could not do justice to his mount. Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Jockey V. Kotwal (MORPHEUS) reported that near 1000 metres, he lost control over his mount for a brief period due to the kickback and shifted out.

 

After the race, UPROAR was observed to have an abrasion on both the hind fetlocks and PRINCESS RUBY had an abrasion on the right hind fetlock and pastern.

 

RACE NO.9 (72) - THE GOVERNOR’S TROPHY – DIV.I: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners – 10

 

RUBIDIUM (Aadesh Kumar) was inclined to lug out during the race and while negotiating the final bend forced ARES (P. Kamlesh) to travel wide. Trainer Nana Raghunath has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Soon after entering the straight, ARES (P. Kamlesh) shifted in and at the same time RUBIDIUM (Aadesh Kumar) shifted out, resulting in both their horse jostling with each other. Both the jockeys have been asked to exercise more care.

 

Jockey P.Kamlesh (ARES) has been cautioned for changing course in the straight whereby RUBUDIUM was carried inwards from its rightful running.

 

ARES & RUBIDIUM ran green during the race.

 

After the race, RUBIDIUM was found to be sore by the right fore. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, HYMNS TO FREEDOM was observed too have an abrasion on the right hind medial pastern and ROAMING FAME had an abrasion on the right hind bulb of heel.

 

RACE NO.10 (73) - THE MAC BRUCE PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 10

 

DON’T BE SILLY (App Shammi Khan, dr. 3) jumped out awkwardly towards the inside and went across PREMIER PERCEPTION (Nirmal Jodha, dr. 2) and made contact with PACEMAKER (M Narredu, dr. 1) due to which PACEMAKER could not hit the front. Since the incident was accidental no action has been initiated against anyone.

 

At the start, BLAZING SPEED (F.Irani) tried to veer towards the outside. Trainer HJ Antia has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

DON’T BE SILLY (App Shammi Khan) was denied a clear run between 400 meters and 200 meters.

 

After the race, RADIATING was observed to have lost its left fore plate.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 3rd, 7th, 8th and 9th viz. STAR GIRL, AURORA AUREALIS, WILD TORRONAADO, HYMNS TO FREEDOM and also that of DIVINE & ANTONIOS (7th race) and the special sample of MYSTERIOUS HEIGHTS (5th race), ROAMING FAME (9th race), COURAGE UNDER FIRE (Unraced) was collected for detection of prohibited substance.
