(Nadeem Alam) was inclined to lug out in the early part of the race and
while negotiating the bend the mare drifted outwards. Trainer Nana Raghunath
has been asked to show the mare in a mock race to the satisfaction of the
Stipendiary Stewards before next accepting to race.

C.S.Jodha (SARA JAHAN) has been fined Rs.1000/- for using his whip in
excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

RACE NO.2 (11) - THE CERTAINTY
PLATE (DIV-I) : (About) 1200 Metres. - RUNNERS - 10

(C.S.Jodha) jumpd out awkwardly, losing about a length at the start.

Trainer Nina
M.Lalvani has been fined Rs.1000/- for failing to race her charge NARA in
the registered colours. The filly raced with emergency colours i.e.”ALL
BLACK”.

Jockey Akash
Agarwal (MADAMME BIJOUX) reported loss of his whip at about 400 metres
from the winning post. The jockey explained that he lost the whip while
trying to change the whip position in his hand. Since this was the first
time the jockey has lost his whip this season, no action has been
initiated beyond reminding him of the notice with regard to the loss of
whip.

Near 1100
metres, FREE SPIRIT (App.Kishore Kadam) shifted in and went across
CONSTANTIA (Zameer Sayyed) causing it to be checked and further shifted
in to take up his position along the rails. Apprentice Kishore Kadam has been
fined Rs.2000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

Approaching
the 1000 metres, FIREY FUTURE (P.Belose) shifted out and jostled with
HAWKEYE (Vikram Walkar). Jockey P.Belose has been fined Rs.2000/- for
failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

Trainer
Dr.Anil Kumar and Jockey S.S.Baria were questioned regarding the running
and riding of MUSTANG SALLY in this race. Trainer Anil Kumar stated that
he had instructed the jockey to ride his own race and to do his best in
the straight as the mare does not have initial speed. He also stated that
the mare should be pulled out in the straight, as she gallops well from
the outside. It was put to the Jockey as why had he made his move from
the outside of FIREY FUTURE and not taken the wide gap on the inside of
FIREY FUTURE to save ground and that he had taken the horse too far wide
so much so that the mare raced on the Main Track. The jockey stated that
he could not take the gap available at the 400 metres as FIREY FUTURE
(P.Belose) took his ground and he had to move out and that he had done
his best in the straight. Not being satisfied with the explanation
tendered by Jockey S.S.Baria, he has been reported to the Stewards for
riding an Injudicious race. The matter was deferred.

After the race
HAWKEYE and ARABIAN HERO were both observed to have an abrasion on their
right shank and FREE SPIRIT had an abrasion on his left hind coronet.

BLIND was observed to have an abrasion on her left hock and KIMAYA had an
abrasion on her right hind pastern.

RACE NO.4 (13) - THE ATOMIC PRINCE

CARLOS (C.S.Jodha,
dr.6) jumped out awkwardly towards the inside and made contact with BORN
TO LEAD (Nadeem Alam, Dr.5). Jockey C.S.Jodha has been asked to be more
alert at the gates.
|
|
|
|
Soon after
the start, STAR ALWAYS (Riyaz Shaikh) stumbled on its own whereby Jockey
Riyaz Shaikh lost his right stirrup which he regained approaching 600
metres and during that phase of the race the Jockey lost his balance near
800 metres and almost got dislodged.
|
|
|
|
COVENANT (M.Narredu)
was inclined to lug-in in the straight. Trainer Vinayak has been asked to
take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
|
|
|
|

TO LEAD was observed to have an abrasion on her left hind pastern.

RACE NO.5 (14) - THE ORANGE FLAME
PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres. RUNNERS - 16

KALPAVRUKSHA
(P.Kamlesh), RISING HERO (I.Shaikh), MATATA PRIDE (Malcolm Kharadi),
PATEK PHILIPPE (Aadesh Kumar) and VICTOR IVANOV (S.S.Rathore) were reluctant
to be stalled. Trainers Bezan Chenoy, Altamash Ahmed, Vinayak, Nosher
Cama and Suresh Chavan have been asked to give their respective charge
more gate practice and to shown them to the satisfaction of the Starter
at morning starting trials before next accepting to race.

|
Soon after
the start, ABSOLUT (Sunny Chinoy, dr.10) shifted in and went across the
field on his inside and in the process hampered the run of KALPAVRUKSHA
(P.Kamlesh), RISING HERO (I.Shaikh) and also inconvenienced GOLDEN KEY
(S.S.Baria). Jockey Sunny Chinoy has been fined Rs.3000/- for failing to
exercise proper control over his mount and severely cautioned for the
future.

|
Travelling
some distance from the start, SPIRITED STAR (Hanumant Singh) was steadied
and to avoid clipping the heels of PATEK PHILIPPE (Aadesh Kumar), shifted
out and in doing so, hampered the running of GOLDEN KEY (S.S.Baria) who
in turn hampered IMPERIUM (C.S.Jodha). Since the incident was accidental,
no action was initiated against any rider.

Passing 1400
metres, MATATA PRIDE (Malcolm Kharadi) shifted in, causing GO GUZZI GO
(Wayne Smith) to be steadied by its rider. Jockey Malcolm Kharadi has
been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

Passing 600 metres
MATATA PRIDE (Malcolm Kharadi) shifted in and jostled with KALPAVRUKSHA
(P.Kamlesh) who was off balanced and in turn inconvenienced WELLS FARGO
(Zameer Sayyed). Jockey Malcolm Kharadi has been fined Rs.5000/- for
failing exercise proper control over his mount.

Near 700
metres, WELLS FARGO (Zameer Sayyed) was steadied due to lack of room.
|
|
|
|
The saddles
on VICTOR IVANOV (S.S.Rathore) and PATEK PHILIPPE (Aadesh Kumar) slipped black
during the race. Trainers Suresh Chavan and Nosher Cama have been fined
Rs.2000/- each for faulty saddling of their respective charge.

RACE NO.6 (15) - THE PERFECT

negotiating the final bend, SOLOR (C.S.Jodha) hung out. Trainer Nina
Lalvani has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to
race the gelding.

After the race, FRENCH KISS was observed to be sore by the
right fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before
next accepting to race.

AWAY was observed to have an abrasion on his right hind pastern and coronet.

RACE NO.7 (16) - THE ROSE ROYAL
TROPHY : (About) 1200 Metres. .- RUNNERS - 10

Trainer
Karthik G. has been fined Rs.1000/- for bringing his charge MOUNTAIN BEAR
into the Parade Ring without the Blinkers, for the use of which equipment
prior permission was obtained. The gelding raced with Blinkers.

|
|
|
Near 400
metres, ESCRAVOS (Amyn Merchant) shifted in and forced OYSTER COVE (Sunny
Chinoy) to shift in and cause interference to AGHA (P Kamlesh). Jockey
Amyn Merchant has been fined Rs.3000/- for failing to exercise proper
control over his mount.

metres, NANJING (C.S.Jodha) shifted out and at the same time SHYBOY
(T.S.Jodha) shifted in and jostled with each other. Both the Jockeys,
C.S.Jodha and T.S. Jodha, have
been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over their
respective mount.

800 metres, DRUIDS GLEN (P.Kamlesh ) shifted out and made contact with
CASUAL LOOK (Aadesh Kumar). Jockey P.Kamlesh has been cautioned for

CATALYST was observed to have an abrasion on her right hind pastern, RADIATING
had an abrasion on the right gaskin and hock and PREMIER PERCEPTION had a
gum injury. Also, RADIATING was observed to have splayed her
right fore plate.

The Board of
Appeal at its Meeting held on 25TH July 2008 considered the
Appeal preferred by Jockey Nadeem Alam and having considered all the
papers, documents, proceedings of the case and having heard the
submissions made by Jockey Nadeem Alam and his Spokesman, Mr. Narendra
Lagad, and having applied their minds to the entire facts of the matter,
the Board decided to reject the Appeal and to forfeit the deposit.

|
In view of the
stay granted on the punishment, Jockey Nadeem Alam’s license now stands
suspended w.e.f. 26th July, 2008 to 23rd August,
2008 (both days inclusive) (permitted to ride work/mock race).
