(FALSE RAILS WERE PLACED FROM 1200 MTS. CHUTE TILL
1000 MTRS. WIDTH ABOUT 3 MTS. AND THEREAFTER NO FALES RAILS. THE STARTING
GATES WERE POSITIONED AT THE MARKER AS MEASURED BY THE ROADOMETER. (FOR THE
RACES RUN OVER 1200 METERS, THE STARTING GATES WERE POSITIONED AT 1170
METERS).

RACE NO.156 - THE
SPARKLING CYANIDE PLATE - DIVI.I (About) 1000 Mtrs. (12 RUNNERS)
|
|
|
|
Soon after the start, HUDSON BAY
(S.S. Baria – dr.2) shifted in under the use of the whip and caused
interference to ONE GOOD THING (Y.S. Srinath – dr.1) who was racing along
the rails. Jockey S.S. Baria has been fined Rs.2000/- for failing to
exercise proper control over his mount.

|
HUDSON BAY (S.S. Baria) has been
reprimanded for traveling wide and racing on the main track thereby placing
his horse at a disadvantage.
|
|
|
|
After the race, HUDSON BAY was
found to have abrasion on right hind fetlock.
|
|
|

RACE NO.157 - THE SO
SMITTEN PLATE - DIV.I (About) 1200
Metres. (11 RUNNERS)
|
|
|
|
The Clerk of the Scales reported
that Jockey J. Pradeep rider of COCAINE had weighed out at 49.5 kgs. in
this race as compared to his weight in the first race, declared to ride
IMOLA where he weighed out at 50.5
kgs. On questioning, the Jockey stated that he had weighed out with a
bigger saddle in the first race and a smaller saddle in the second race. He
further stated that the trainer of IMOLA had asked him to carry a weight at
which he was comfortable. Trainer D.J. Surti when questioned stated that he
had asked the Jockey whether he would not carry more than 51.5 kgs. in any
case that does not mean he shouldn’t claim a maximum possible allowance.
The Stipendiary Stewards will enquiry into the matter and submit their
report later.

Soon after the start, CONSTANTIA (Zameer
Sayyed – dr.1) shifted out despite jockey’s effort and crowded the field on
the outside, wherein WELL VERSED (S. Shinde – dr.2) shifted out onto
COCAINE (J. Pradeep – dr.3) who shifted onto CONRELIA SUPRA (S.N. Chavan –
dr.4). As the incident was accidental, no action was initiated beyond
advising Jockey Zameer Sayyed to be more alert at the start.

Near 1100 mts. WELL VERSED (S.
Shinde) shifted in and caused interference to CONSTANTIA (Zameer Sayyed). Jockey
S Shinde has been fined Rs.1000/- for failing to exercise proper control
over his mount.
|
|
|
|
After the race, WELL VERSED was
examined and found to be sore by right fore leg. The mare has to be passed
fit the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
|
|
|
|
The Sr. V.O reported that,
UNDERSTANDING was examined after the race and found to be sound. The filly
has a wolf tooth on the left side.
|
|
|
|
The Sr. V.O. reported that, after
the race, STAR FORRESTER was found to go short by left fore leg. The
gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to
race.
|
|
|
|
The Sr. V.O. reported that, after
the race, COCAINE was found to be sore by left fore leg. The mare has to be
passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

RACE NO.158 - THE GREY
FLASH PLATE (About) 1400 Metres. (14 RUNNERS)
|
|
|
|
NET EAGLE (I. Shaikh) was fractious
in the stall, not allowing the rider to mount. Further the gelding sat in
the stall in an awkward manner and had to be pulled out opening the rear
gates. Due to this behavior, the gelding was withdrawn before coming under
Starter’s order. Trainer Sanjay Kolse has been advised to give the gelding
more gate practice and to show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at
morning starting trials before accepting with him to race.

As the start was effected, SECURITY
(R. Rupesh) suddenly veered to the outside dislodging the rider.
Considering the filly’s erratic behaviour, Trainer Jayantilal Gor has been
asked to take remedial measures and to show the filly to the satisfaction
of the Starter in a mock race, before accepting with her to race.

Jockey Y.S. Srinath, the rider of
PREMIER PAGEANT, reported that he found his mount uncomfortable thereby he
couldn’t do justice to his mount.
|
|
|
|
Near the 200 mtrs., RING BEARER
(Amyn Merchant) shifted in under the use of the whip and caused interference
to JERICHO (S.S. Baria). Jockey Amyn Merchant has been fined Rs.5,000/- for
failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
|
|
|
|
Near 1200 mts., LA TREMOLO (P.
Belose) shifted in and forced OUT TO WIN (Anil Baandal) to shift in and
cause interference to QUEEN RUBY (D.G. Shanker). Jockey P. Belose has been
fined Rs.2000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

RACE NO.159 - THE
SPARKLING CYANIDE PLATE - DIV.II (About) 1000 Mtrs. (12 RUNNERS)
|
|
|
|
BOREAL (Zameer Sayyed) was slow in
the stride losing about a length at the start.
|
|
|
|
Trainer Anil Kumar has been fined
Rs.500/- for running his charge HANDSOME LAD in colour other than those
registered.
|
|
|
|
Jockey K.M. Pandey, the rider of EXULT,
reported that he had lost his whip near the 400 mtrs. marker.
|
|
|
|
Trainer S.N. Joshi and Jockey K.M.
Pandey were questioned regarding the running and riding of EXULT, as Jockey
K.M. Pandey had lost his whip at the 400 mts and thereafter was feeble on
his mount. The Jockey confirmed the instructions that he was asked to take
a good jump and be in the mid bunch and do best in the straight. Trainer
Joshi also stated that the jockey’s riding was feeble in the straight. The
Stipendiary Steward, will be enquiring into the pattern of running of the
horse and submit their report later.

After the race, it was observed
that QUICK FIX, had broken a blood vessel. The filly has been stopped from
racing for a stipulated period of eight weeks. The filly has to be passed
fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting her to race.

RACE NO.160 - THE
ASHWAMEDHA PLATE (About) 1000 Metres. (13 RUNNERS)
|
|
|
|
Soon after the start, HOT TIN ROOF (S.P.
Ranjane – dr.2) shifted in and caused interference to GIRL FROM ASCOT
(Neeraj Rawal –dr.1). Jockey S.P. Ranjane has been fined Rs.1,000/- for
failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

|
|
MISTER FIXIT (Zameer Sayyed – dr.7)
stumbled at the start and the Jockey completely lost his momentum and
further shifted out and hampered the running of MYSTERIOUS LAND (R. Rupesh – dr.8). Since the incident was
accidental no action was initiated.
|
|
|
|
Approaching the 800 mts, ALICE WONDER
(Amyn Merchant) shifted in and caused interference to GIRL FROM ASCOT
(Neeraj Rawal). Jockey Amyn Merchant has been fined Rs.1000/- for failing
to exercise proper control over his mount.
|
|
|
|
In the final furlong, VRIKODARA
(Nirmal Jodha) shifted in despite jockey’s best effort and hampered the
riding of Jockey S.P. Ranjane (HOT TIN ROOF). Trainer S.K. Sunderji has
been advised to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the
gelding.

|
|
|
After the race, ONE WAY was found
to go short by right fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s
V.O. before next accepting to race.
|
|
|
|
After the race, MYSTEROUS LAND, was
found to have an abrasion on the left shank.
|
|

RACE NO.161 - THE OXFORD
PROPERTIES JUVENILE SPRINT CHALLENGE (About) 1200Mts. (9 RUNNERS)

|
|
|
The Stipendiary Stewards will be
enquiring into the running and riding of JUBILATION (P. Kamlesh) in this
race and will submit their report later.
|
|
|

RACE NO.162 - THE
PRUDENTIAL CHAMP TROPHY (About)
1200 Mtrs. (15 RUNNERS)
|
|
|
|
After being stalled, BABITA (Zameer
Sayyed) was restless in the stall and in the process cast her legs on the
side platform. The mare was unloaded and examined by the Sr. V.O. and found
to be sore by right hind and also had sustained bleeding abrasion on the
lower jaw and was certified unfit to race. As such, the filly was withdrawn
before coming under Starter’s orders. Trainer Jayantilal Gor has been
advised to give the mare more gate practice and show her to the
satisfaction of the Starter at the morning starting trials before accepting
with her to race. Also, the mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O.
before next accepting to race.

|
Jockey S.S. Baria was declared to
ride on two horses viz. ACTIVISTO and HIGH FIVE by Trainers Imtiaz A Sait
and Altaf Hussain respectively. On enquiring, it was found that Jockey S.S.
Baria had not informed Trainer Imtiaz A Sait that he was accepting a ride
with another Trainer. The matter was reported to the Stewards who directed
the Stipendiary Stewards to deal with the matter. As such, Jockey S.S.
Baria was fined Rs.2000/- for accepting two rides in the same race.

|
An objection was lodged by Jockey
P.S. Chouhan rider of TARRAGONA (placed 2nd), against Jockey
Amyn Merchant (FREEDOM CHOICE, placed 1st) for
squeezing him out of position at the bend and thereafter forcing him to
come from the out side after receiving a check.
|
|
|
|
After interviewing the Jockeys
concerned and viewing the video recording of the race, the Stewards
overruled the objection.
|
|
|
|
Near 400 mts. FREEDOM’S CHOICE Amyn
Merchant shifted in and hampered the running of SECRET PATH (Dilip Singh). Jockey
Amyn Merchant has been severely reprimanded for failing to exercise proper
control over his mount.
|
|
|
|
RACE NO.163 - THE
CAPRICORN TROPHY (About) 1000 Mts. (15 RUNNERS)
|
|
|
|
POWER ZONE (P.S. Deora) was
reluctant to reach the starting post. Trainer Magansingh P. Jodha has been
asked to give the gelding gate approach practice during a mock race before
accepting with him to race.
|
|
|
|
LEOPARDESS (R. Rupesh) was slow in
the stride losing about two lengths at the start.
|
|
|
|
REALISM (Dilip Singh) stumbled at
the start.
|
|
|
|
Near 400 meters, STORM ALERT (S.N.
Chavan) shifted in and caused interference to GANADOR (Ikram Khan). Jockey
Chavan has been fined Rs.1000/- for failing to exercise proper control over
his mount.

|
|
STORM ALERT hung-in in the
straight. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been advised to take remedial measures
before next accepting to race the mare.

The Stewards at their meeting held
on 15th Oct. 2005 interviewed Jockey Imran Chisty in the above connection
and having considered the submission made by him and viewing the video
recording of the incident of the fall of the whip, did not accept the
Jockey’s explanation that the fall of the whip was accidental, therefore
held him guilty of unsatisfactory riding on his mount QUEEN OF PALMS in the
above race and decided to suspend his jockey’s license w.e.f. 26th
Oct. 2005 to 4th Dec. 2005 (both days inclusive) (not permitted
to ride work/mock race).

spokesman Mr. Magansingh P. Jodha in the above connection and having considered
the submission made and viewing the video recording of race no.124 as also
the horse’s previous two race i.e. race no.7 and no.62, were not satisfied
with the explanation tendered by Jockey Vikram Jodha and resolved

Oct. 2005 to 27th Nov. 2005 (both days inclusive) for
unsatisfactory riding on his mount VANILA SKY. (not permitted to ride
work/mock race);

suspend his Jockey’s license w.e.f 28th Nov. 2005 to 11th
Dec. 2005 (both days inclusive) for
tendering false and misleading evidence in the enquiry (permitted to ride
work/mock race).
