(TRACK : MONSOON: GOING GOOD) (PENETROMETRE READING : 2 new – 4.4 old)

(FALSE RAILS WERE PLACED 8 METERS WIDE FROM 1200 METERS CHUTE TILL 1000 METERS. (THE STARTING GATES WERE POSITIONED AT THE MARKER FOR THE START OF EACH RACE AS MEASURED BY A ROADOMETER). RACES RUN OVER 1200 METERS, THE STARTING GATES WERE PLACED AT 1170 METERS.

RACE NO.78 - THE FLORAL TRIBUTE PLATE - (About) 1600 Meters. (9 RUNNERS)

 

Near 1400 Mts. PERFECT PEACE (Mansoor Khan) shifted in and tightened CZAI (Altaf Sayyed) and ANGEL RAYS (Neeraj Rawal). In the process, CZAI received bad interference and stumbled thereby, dislodging its rider. Jockey Mansoor Khan has been reported to the Stewards for dangerous riding. After interviewing the Jockey and not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by him, the Stewards resolved to suspend his Jockey Mansoor Khan’s License w.e.f. 21st Sept. 2005 to 30th Sept. 2005 (both days inclusive) (Permitted to ride work/mock race).

 

RACE NO.79 - THE SEA SAND PLATE - (About)1200 Meters.

 

A Stewards Enquiry was held, the reason being that GENESIS (R. Biramne, dr. 13) had jumped out without its rider. The Stewards interviewed the Starter and the Jockey and also heard the Owners and the Trainer of GENESIS in this regard. After due deliberation, the Stewards resolved to declare the race Null and Void.

 

RACE NO.80 -  THE POLONIA PLATE  - DIV.II - (About) 1200 Meters.(10 RUNNERS)

 

FRAUD (Malcolm Kharadi) was fractious in his stall. Trainer Bezan Chenoy has been advised to give the gelding more gate practice before accepting to race.

 

Soon after the start, CASTLE CREEK (B. Prakash – dr.10) shifted in and forced FEAR OF TEARS (P.S. Chouhan – dr.9) to shift in and went on to AAG (J. Pradeep – dr.8) who went on to LETSGETLOUD (Nirmal Jodha – dr.7). Jockey B. Prakash has been fined Rs.2,000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

FRAUD (Malcolm KharadI) was observed to have trailed the field. When questioned Jockey stated that the horse was fractious in the gates and may have hit his head on the bar and thereafter he did not gallop.

 

Jockey M. Narredu reported that his mount BREGENZ was not comfortable in the last furlong of the race. The Veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormality.

 

Jockey Mansoor Khan rider of ACCELERATION reported the loss of his whip near 400 mts.

 

RACE NO.81 -  THE D. N. ZODGE PLATE - (About) 1400 Meters. (17 RUNNERS)

 

After being stalled, STAR DIVINE (Malcom Kharadi – dr.7) kicked the rear gates. The Sr. V.O. examined the filly and found to have abrasions on both hawk and was sore by left hind, as such the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn from the race before coming under Starters order.

 

As the start was effected, WALL STREET (Vikram Walkar – dr.4) planted and lost a distance at the start. Trainer Rehanuallah Khan has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show to the satisfaction of the Starter at the morning starting trials before accepting with him to race.

 

Jockey Y. S. Faizan (DOUGLAS) was observed to be feeble during the race. On questioning the Jockey reported that his goggles had coved with mud and he had to remove his goggles and ride and therefore he couldn’t do his best.

 

TRAINERSHIP (P. Belose) was inclined to hang out during the race. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been advised to take remedial measures before next accepting to race with the gelding.

 

The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into the running and riding of WIN FOR ME during the current Pune Meeting and submit their report later.

 

RACE NO.82 - THE BAY OF TREASURE TROPHY - (About) 2400 Meters. (4 RUNNERS)

 

NO REPORTS.

 

RACE NO.83 - THE PIMPERNAL TROPHY - (About) 1000 Meters. (13 RUNNERS)

 

MONEY QUEEN (P. Sandeep) hung-in in the straight. Trainer D. J. Surti has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race with her.

 

Near 400 mts. BELOVED (S.S. Baria) shifted in under the use of the whip and the Jockey made no effort to control his mount from shifting in thereby severely interfered with MASTER PLANNER (Vikram Walker). Jockey S.S. Baria has been reported to the Stewards for Dangerous Riding. The Stewards interviewed Jockey S.S. Baria and not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by the Jockey, resolved to suspend his Jockey’s License with effect from 21st Sept. 2005 to 24th Sept. 2005. (both days inclusive). (Permitted to ride work/mock race).

 

After the race, BELOVED was observed to have abrasion on right shank.

 

After the race, PRELUDE TO A KISS was found to go short by right fore leg and having a wolf tooth. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO.84 - THE CAPE DANCE PLATE - (About) 1000 Meters. (13 RUNNERS)

 

ARABIAN FIGHTER (I. Shaikh - dr.9) stumbled at the Start whereby the Jockey lost control over his mount briefly and shifted in, inconveniencing LAPWING (Vikram Walkar - dr.8). At the same time, MISTER FIXIT (Zameer Sayyed - dr.4) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and set a chain reaction wherein FLAG BEARER (Abishek Habbu – dr.5) shifted in and forced CALIFORNIA (M. Narredu) to shift in on to LAPWING who in turn went on to ARABIAN FIGHTER (I. Shaikh). Since the interference could not be attributed to any single Jockey, no action was initiated against any one Jockey.  

 

After the race, it was observed that ARABIAN FIGHTER had broken a blood vessel. The gelding has been stopped from racing for a stipulated period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO.85 -  THE POLONIA PLATE  - DIV.I (About) 1200 Meters. (10 RUNNERS)

 

Jockey Nirmal Jodha rider of VRIKODARA has been fined Rs.1000/- for using his whip in excess of the prescribed limit (12 times).

 

Samples of urine of the winners of the races 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 8th viz. CASTLE CREEK, WIN FOR ME, CABBALA and SEA SPRAY respectively and that of CAPE AFRICA (6th race) & CALIFORNIA (7th race) were sent for analysis.

RE: BREACH OF MORNING TRACK RULES – TRAINER P. SHROFF

 

Trainer P Shroff has been fined Rs.3000/- for being in breach of the Morning Track work Rules wherein he has worked his horses after 9.30 a.m.

 

RE: ENQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING AND RIDING OF LUCKY MINING IN RACE NO.63 – THE FLOWER POWER PLATE DIV.I (RUN ON 03-09-2005 :

 

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Saturday 10th September 2005 interviewed Tr. Hanut Singh and Jockey P.S. Deora in the above connection and having considered the submission made and viewing the video recording of Race no.63 as also the horse’s previous run in race no.19:

 

a)      the Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by Jockey P.S. Deora and held him guilty of unsatisfactory riding on his mount LUCK MINING in race no.63. Therefore they decided to suspend his Jockey’s license w.e.f. 21st Sept. 2005 to 30th Sept. 2005 (both days inclusive) (not permitted to ride work/mock race).

 

b)      the Stewards were also not satisfied with the explanation tendered by Tr. Hanut Singh and held the view that the jockey would not have ridden in this manner unless he had the trainer’s tacit approval. The also considered Tr. Hanut Singh’s past record wherein he had been fined on several occasion for similar offence. Therefore the Stewards decided to suspend his Trainer’s license w.e.f . 21st Sept. 2005 to 25th September 2005 (both days inclusive) and to severely caution him for the future. 

 

RE: ENQUIRY INTO THE RIDING OF JOCKEY J. CHINOY ON PREMIER GALAZY IN RACE NO.72 – THE NORTHERN STAR PLATE DIV.II RUN ON 4TH Sept. 2005

 

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Saturday 10th September 2005 interviewed Tr. Sangramsinh Joshi and Jockey J. Chinoy in the above connection and having considered the submission made and viewing the video recording of Race no.72, the Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by Jockey J. Chinoy. However, they gave him the benefit of doubt as far as the charge of “unsatisfactory riding” was concerned and him guilty of riding an injudicious race on PREMIER GALAXY in race no.72. The Stewards that his jockey’s license has already been suspended upto 25th September 2005 for an earlier offence. Therefore the Stewards decided to further suspend hi Jockey’s license w.e.f. 26th Sept 2005 to 30th Sept. 2005 (both days inclusive) for riding and injudicious race on PREMIER GALAXY

 

RACE NO.63 ENQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING AND RIDING OF “AMADOMIO” IN THE FLOWER POWER PLATE – DIV I

 

The Stewards noted the Stipendiary Stewards report that they enquired into the above matter and after viewing the video recording of the race and scrutinizing the betting sheets they decided that no action was called for in the matter and close the enquiry.

 

RACE NO.63 ENQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING AND RIDING OF “MAGIC SPELL” IN THE FLOWER POWER PLATE – DIV I-

 

The Stewards noted the Stipendiary Stewards report that they had questioned Tr. Narendra Lagad and Jockey S.N. Chavan in the above connection and having the considered the submission made and viewing the video recording of the race, accepted the explanation tendered by them.  Further, they were informed that a close watch would be kept on this horse’s future runs. 

 

RACE NO 73 - EKAVALI (RIDDEN BY JOCKEY J CHINOY, TRAINER BY MR. JAYANTILAL GOR) IN THE NORTHERN STAR PLATE – DIV –I – RUN ON 4TH SEPTEMBER 2005.

 

Trainer Jayantilal K Gor and Jockey J Chinoy were questioned regarding the running and riding of EKAVALI in the initial stages of the race and not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by the Jockey J. Chinoy the matter was reported to the Stewards.

 

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Saturday 10th September 2005 interviewed Tr. Jayantilal K. Gor and Jockey J. Chinoy in the above connection and having considered the submission made and viewing the video recording of Race no.73, gave Jockey J. Chinoy  the benefit of doubt in this case and no action was initated in the matter.

 

RACE NO.77 - ENQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING AND RIDING OF “STAR FORRESTER” – TRAINER DALLAS TODYWALLA, JOCKEY RAJEEV PANDEY, IN THE GOLFING PLATE RUN ON 4TH SEPTEMBER 2005.

 

The Stewards noted the Stipendiary Stewards report that they had questioned Tr. Dallas Todywalla and Jockey Rajeev Pandey in the above connection and having the considered the submission made and viewing the video recording of the race, they were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by Jockey Rajeev Pandey and fined him Rs.3,000/- for unsatisfactory riding and severely cautioned him for the future.
