(FALSE RAILS WERE PLACED 2.5 MTS. WIDE FROM 1400 MTS. TILL 1000 MTS., 3.5 MTS WIDE TILL 600 MTS AND THEREAFTER 4.5 MTS WIDE UPTO THE WINNING POST. FALSE RAILES WERE ALSO PLACED 2 MTRS. WIDE FROM 1200 MTS CHUTE TILL 1000 MTS. – (THE STARTING GATES WERE POSITIONED AT THE MARKER FOR THE START OF EACH RACE AS MEASURED BY A ROADOMETER).

RACE NO.54 – THE ALOUETTE PLATE  -  DIST. ABOUT 1200 Metres.  (11 RUNNERS)

 

An objection was lodged in this race by Jockey Neeraj Rawal rider of GOLDEN KEY placed 2nd against Jockey J. Chinoy (EMPEACHMENT) the winner , the reason being that in the last 200 mts. Jockey J.Chinoy had come on to him due to which he could not get a clear run and lost his momentum which cost him the race.

 

After interviewing the Jockey concerned and viewing the video recording of the race from various camera angles, the Stewards resolved to over rule the Objection.

 

The Stewards after the last race, interviewed Jockey J Chinoy (EMPEACHMENT) and having heard the submission made by him and not being satisfied with his explanation, decided to suspend his Jockey’s License w.e.f 8th September 2005 to 11th September 2005 (both days inclusive) for Careless Riding. Further, he was severely cautioned for giving misleading evidence before the Stewards. (Permitted to ride work/Mock race). 

 

After passing 800 meters, GOLDEN KEY (Neeral Rawal) shifted out and made contact with EMPEACHMENT (J Chinoy). Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been reprimanded for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

Jockey T. Bernard (QUEEN RUBY) reported that the left stirrup leather snapped and fell soon after the start. On examination the equipment was found in a serviceable condition as such no action was initiated against the Jockey.

 

RACE NO.55 – THE HYDROPLANE PLATE  - DIV.II – DIST. ABOUT 1000 Metres. (10 RUNNERS)

 

The Sr. V.O, reported that, at the request of Trainer D.J. Surti, HARD ROCK was examined at 7.00 a.m. on 28th August 2005 and found to be having swelling on right hind limb and an abrasion on the shank, as such the filly was certified unfit to race, the filly was withdrawn on veterinary ground.

 

After passing the 800 meters, SHARP SWORD (Vikram Walkar) shifted in and hampered the running of RARE LOOK (Neeraj Rawal). Jockey Vikram Walkar has been cautioned for shifting in when not sufficiently clear off the horses behind him.

 

AL NAJDAIN (S.S. Baria) hung-in in the straight. Trainer Sangramsinh Joshi has been advised to take remedial measures before accepting the gelding to race.

 

After the race, MAGIC HONEY was found to have an abrasion on left hind fetlock.

 

RACE NO.56. THE TRICUMDAS DWARKADAS TROPHY – DIVI.II – DIST. ABOUT  1200 Metres. (9 RUNNERS) 

 

The Sr. V.O, reported that, at the request of Trainer D.J. Surti, MONTANA was examined at 9.50 a.m. on 27th August 2005 and found to be sore by left fore leg and also had abrasion, as such the gelding was certified unfit to race, as such the gelding was withdrawn on veterinary ground. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting him to race.

LOVE AND BE LOVED (Vikram Walker) behaved very stubborn to reach the starting post. Considering this similar behaviour of the filly in the past. Trainer Rehanullah Khan has being asked to be give the filly gate approach practice and to shown her to the satisfaction of the Starter on two occasion during the Mock Races before next accepting with her to race.

 

Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been fined Rs.500/- for running his charge LOVE AND BE LOVED (Vikram Walkar) in colours other than those registered.

 

After the start, VERZZANO (V. Chandrakant) shifted out with the Jockey making no efforts to correct his mount and thereby forced FAYETTEVILLE (Abhishek Habbu) to shift out on to JOSH KING (J. Chinoy) who went on to MAGNIFICENCE (V. Kotwal). Jockey V. Chandrakant has been fined Rs.1,000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

 

RACE NO.57 – THE TRICUMDAS DWARKADAS TROPHY DIV.I – DIST. ABOUT 1200 Mtrs. (11 RUNNERS)

 

BELLE CHOSE (Neeraj Rawal – dr.7) jumped out awkwardly towards the inside and bumped TWIN POWER (Nirmal Jodha dr. 6). Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been advised to be more careful in the gates.

 

Jockey I. Shaikh (CASTLE PRIDE) reported the loss of his whip 20 mts. from the winning post.

 

 

RACE NO.58 – THE MAYOR'S TROPHY  - DIST. ABOUT 1800 Metres. (7 RUNNERS) 

 

After being stalled, CELUBRIOUS (P. Kamlesh) was fractious in the stalls, Trainer Vinayak has been advised to give the filly more gate practice before accepting with her to race.

 

SNOW TIGER (P. S. Chouhan) hung-in in the straight despite Jockey’s efforts. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been advised to take remedial measures before next accepting with her to race.

 

 

RACE NO.59 – THE P.K. SARDESHMUKH MAHARAJ TROPHY - DIST. ABOUT 1600 Mtrs.(9 RUNNERS)

 

STARA ZAGORA (R. Rupesh – dr.6) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and bumped FIREY FUTURE (Vikram Jodha – dr.7). Jockey R. Rupesh has been asked to be more careful in the Gates.

 

SOLAR FLOWER (Imran Chisty) hung-in in the straight. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been advised to take remedial measures before next accepting to race with her.

 

After the race, PINE CREST was found to be sore by right fore leg and having a wolf tooth in the mount on left side. The colt has to be passed fit by the Club’s Veterinary Officer before next accepting to race.

 

 

RACE NO.60 – THE EVE CHAMPION TROPHY (GR.3) – DIST. ABOUT 2000 Metres.  (6 RUNNERS)

 

Jockey S. S. Baria (CAPTURE THE MOMENT) reported the loss of his whip 20 mts before the winning post.

 

FIDDLE FADDLE (Neeraj Rawal) was placed 5th and SEVERRIANO (C. Ruzaan) was placed 6th by the Judge.

 

 

RACE NO.61 - THE ALMANAC TROPHY  - DIST. ABOUT 1600 Metres. (8 RUNNERS)

 

After passing the 200 meters, SUN SEEKER (S.S. Baria) shifted in despite Jockey’s efforts. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been advised to take remedial measures before next accepting to race.

 

 

RACE NO.62 - THE HYDROPLANE PLATE  - DIV.I – DIST. ABOUT1000 Metres.  (12 RUNNERS)

 

Trainer Sangramsinh Joshi has been fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the Declaration in respect of shoeing for his charge VANILLA SKY.

Approaching the 700 metres marker, WEST COAST EAGLE (Amyn Merchant) drifted out alarmingly and ran and finished the race on the outer Sand track. On questioning the Jockey stated that the right rein had snapped and he lost control over his mount. The rein was found to be in serviceable condition as such no action was initiated against the jockey. 

 

After the race, GORGEOUS GREY was found to be sore by left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s Veterinary Officer before next accepting it to race.

Samples of urine of the winners of the races   2nd, 3rd, 7th, 9th and 11th viz. ADAM’S BANK, LOVE AND BE LOVED, RONIN, VENUS ARISING and CONFIDENT respectively and also that of CAPTURE THE MOMENT, FLAVIUS VICTOR (7th race) and were sent for analysis.

RACE NO 39 - ENQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING AND RIDING OF “SUMMEROFFORTYTWO” IN THE GLACIER PLATE RUN ON 21ST AUGUST 2005

 

Trainer Janardhan and Jockey T Mahesh were questioned regarding the running and riding of SUMMEROFFORTYTWO.

 

Trainer stated that the Jockey was instructed to be in 4th/ 5th position and to do his best in the straight, keep a straight course and not to use whip.

 

It was put to them that the Jockey had been very feeble throughout the race. They could not give any explanation except that the Jockey had done his best and the trainer did not take exception to the jockey’s riding. As such both the Trainer and the jockey have been fined Rs.3000/- each for Unsatisfactory running and riding of SUMMEROFFORTYTWO.

RACE NO 43 - ENQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING AND RIDING OF “SOUND OF SILENCE” IN THE EMINENCE PLATE (DIV I) RUN ON 21ST AUGUST 2005

 

Trainer Hanut Singh and Jockey R Birmane were questioned regarding the running and riding of SOUND OF SILENCE. Trainer Hanut Singh had expressed his dissatisfaction towards the Jockey’s riding.

 

Jockey Birmane was observed to have checked his mount in anticipation near 1000 meters and in the straight, he stopped riding about 150 meters from the Post for no reason when being in good position. As such Jockey Birmane has been fined Rs.3000/- for failing to persevere with his mount thereby not giving the best possible chance to his horse in the race.                                                                               ________

RACE NO 40 - ENQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING AND RIDING OF “SIN CITY” IN THE SUB-AREA COMMANDER’S TROPHY (DIV- I) RUN ON 21ST AUGUST 2005

 

Trainer Altaf Hussain and Jockey Altaf Sayyed were questioned regarding the running and riding of SIN CITY. Trainer Altaf Hussain expressed his dissatisfaction towards the Jockey’s riding.

 

It was observed during the race that jockey Altaf Sayyed had been very feeble during the race. He made no effort to improve his position. As such Jockey Altaf Sayyed has been fined Rs.3000 for failing to persevere with his mount thereby not giving the best possible chance to his horse in the race.

RACE NO 21 - ENQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING AND RIDING OF “SPIRIT” IN THE GOLEDEN TREASURE TROPHY (DIV – I) RUN ON 14TH AUGUST 2005

 

Trainer Nina Lalvani ans Jockey M. Narredu were Show Caused for the running & riding of SPIRIT.

 

In his reply Jockey Narredu has stated that he was instructed to be in 3rd position. When he niggled the horse, he found the horse to be uncomfortable and this was reported to the Trainer.

 

The Trainer has explained that after the race, the horse was in distress. The Veterinary Doctor P. Khambatta, informed her that the horse’s heartbeat rate had become abnormally high and wasn’t coming down within the required time period. The explanation has been noted.
