(FALSE RAILS WERE PLACED 2 MTS. WIDE FROM 1200 MTS. TILL 1000 MTS., 2 MTS WIDE TILL 600 MTS AND THEREAFTER 3 MTS WIDE UPTO THE WINNING POST. FALSE RAILES WERE ALSO PLACED 2 MTRS. WIDE FROM 1200 MTS CHUTE TILL 1000 MTS. – (THE STARTING GATES WERE POSITIONED AT THE MARKER FOR THE START OF EACH RACE AS MEASURED BY A ROADOMETER).

RACE NO.45 - THE TORRENTIAL PLATE – DIST.1200 Metres. (10 RUNNERS)

 

GO DARLING GO (K. Prasad) after being stalled was very fractions in her stall and got cast its left hind onto the side platform, which broke due to the pressure and the gelding’s leg passed through it and got trapped. The gelding was observed to have sustained an abrasion on left hind and hock and fetlock as such, was withdrawn before coming under Starter’s Order.

 

PERUGINA (Malcolm Kharadi) and TRACY (Nirmal Jodha) were slowly out losing about 5 lengths each at the start. Trainers Bezan Chenoy and M.K. Jadhav were advised to give their respective charges more gate practice and to show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at the morning starting trails before accepting them to race.

 

PERUGINA (Malcolm Kharadi) after jumping out veered towards the outside and lost considerable ground. After reviewing the race Tr. Bezan Chenoy has been advised to take remedial measures with the filly before next accepting to race with her and Jockey Malcolm Kharadi has been cautioned.

 

Approaching 700 mts BARYSHNIKHOV (M. Narredu) stopped galloping. On questioning Jockey M. Narredu stated that he suddenly felt the horse being uncomfortable and started dropping back, hence he pulled up. The Veterinary officer reported no abnormality was observed. The explanation of the Jockey was accepted.

 

PIONEERING (P. Belose) hung-in during the race. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been advised to take remedial measures before next accepting to race with him.

 

Jockey Zameer Sayyed rider of BOREAL has been fined Rs.1,000/- for using his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount (11 times). 

 

RACE NO.46 - THE ISMAIL KHAN PLATE  - DIV.II – DIST. 1600 Metres. (10 RUNNERS)

 

PRINCELY DEAL (F.Irani) was slow in the strides losing about 3 lengths at the start. Trainer Mahorze Irani has been advised to give the gelding more gate practice before accepting to race.

 

MELLIFLOUS (Satish Nayak) hung-in during the race. Since this being the second time that the mare has behaved in a similar manner during the current Pune Meeting, Tr. Robert D’Mellow has been asked to show the mare to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock race before next accepting with her to race.

 

RACE NO.47 - THE NEOLIGHT TROPHY – DIST 1600 Metres. (8 RUNNERS)

 

Jockey P Kamlesh rider of REAL BEAUTY has been fined Rs.1000/- for using his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. (9 times).

 

RACE NO.48 - THE JAANDAAR PLATE  - DIV.II – DIST.1200 Metres. (13 RUNNERS)  

 

Approaching 1100 meters, SEA SPRAY (M. Narredu) shifted in and forced SWORD OF POWER (S.P. Ranjane) to shift-in. Thereafter, SEA SPRAY (M. Narredu) again shifted in and set a chain reaction wherein FREE TO FLY (Anil Baandal) was forced to shift in onto SWORD OF POWER (S. P. Ranjane) who shifted onto GAME OF POWER (Neeraj Rawal) who in turn shifted in onto OLD FLAME (I. Shaikh) who was racing along the rails. Jockey M. Narredu has been fined Rs.2,000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

While negotiating the final bend, RISE (Dilip Singh) shifted in and inconvenienced SIMPLY RED (Malcolm Kharadi). Jockey Dilip Singh has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

After the race, RED HOT BABE was found to have an abrasion on left hind fetlock. 

 

RACE NO.49 - THE MAJESTIC EAGLE TROPHY – DIST.1000 Metres. (14 RUNNERS)

 

SAMARKHAND (P. Belose) was very reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Asad Siddiqui has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter before accepting with him to race

 

AMONG DREAMS (Imran Chisty) planted, losing a distance at the start. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been advised to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter before accepting with her to race.

 

BEAMING (Neeraj Rawal) hung-in during the race. Tr. Imtiaz A. Sait has been advised to take remedial measures before next accepting to race with her.

 

Jockey M. Narredu rider of EXCELLENTO has been fined Rs.1,000/- for using his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount (11 times).

 

Jockey Anil Baandal (TWILIGHT CHARM) reported that the saddle on his mount slipped back during the race. Tr. Nina Lalvani has been fined Rs.1,000/- for faulty saddling of her charge.

 

RACE NO.50 - THE RAJARAM CHHATRAPATI TROPHY – DIST.1800 Metres. (7 RUNNERS)

 

Approaching 1600 mts. MORPHEUS (S. S. Baria) shifted in and caused severe interference to SOMERSET WEST (C. Ruzaan). Jockey S.S. Baria has been fined Rs.2,000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

Thereafter, NOBLE DESIRE (Neeraj Rawal) shifted in and hampered the running of SOMERSET WEST (C. Ruzaan). Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been reprimanded for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

Jockey Vikram Walkar (COMMAND ZONE) reported loss of his whip near the 500 metres marker.

 

Relying on a report from the Sr. V.O. that Trainer M.K. Jadhav had declared the shoeing for COMMAND ZONE both hind high heels, on examination before the race, the gelding was found to have both fore high heels. Trainer M.K. Jadhav has been fined Rs.1000/- for declaring incorrect shoeing for his charge COMMAND ZONE.

 

RACE NO.51 - THE LAMARCK PLATE – DIST.1400 Metres. (15 RUNNERS)

 

Jockey Sunny Chinoy (DUKE ELLINGTON) used his whip when he was well clear of the field, as such, he has been reprimanded for unnecessary use of the whip on his mount.

 

RACE NO.52 - THE ISMAIL KHAN PLATE – DIV.I – DIST.1600 Metres.(11 RUNNERS)

 

After the race, it was observed that ASCENSION had broken a blood vessel. The gelding has been stopped from racing for a stipulated period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

RACE NO.53 -  THE JAANDAAR PLATE – DIV.I – DIST. 1200 Metres. (13 RUNNERS)

 

ETOILE (Anil Baandal) hung out and drifted out alarmingly and finished the race on the Outer River Sand Track. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been advised to take remedial measures before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, it was observed that SUNLORD had broken a blood vessel. The gelding has been stopped from racing for a stipulated period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

The Stipendiary Stewards will be enquiring into the running and riding of JUBILATION (P Kamlesh) and submit their report later.

RE: JOCKEY ANIL BAANDAL REPORTED TO THE STEWARDS FOR CARELESS RIDING ON HIS MOUNT LAPWING, IN RACE NO.14 – THE ROSE OF SHIRAZ PLATE (DIV.II) RUN ON 7TH AUGUST 2005:

 

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on 27th August 2005 interviewed Jockey Anil Baandal and having considered his submissions made and after viewing the video recording of the race, were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by him and held him guilty of careless riding on his mount LAPWING and resolved to suspend his Jockey’s license w.e.f. 7th September 2005 to 11th September 2005 (both days inclusive) (permitted to ride work/mock race).

 

RE: ENQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING AND RIDING OF SEA SPRAY IN RACE NO.18 – THE LONDONDERRY PLATE RUN ON 14TH AUGUST 2005:

 

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on 27th August 2005 interviewed Jockey C. Ruzaan and having considered his submissions and after viewing the video recording of the race, were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by him. However, the Stewards decided to give him the benefit of a grave doubt as far as the charge of “unsatisfactory riding” was concerned and held him guilty of riding an incompetent race on his mount SEA SPRAY. Therefore the Stewards, resolved to suspend his Jockey’s license w.e.f. 7th September 2005 to 18th September 2005 (both days inclusive) (permitted to ride work/mock race) and to fine him a sum of Rs.5,000/-.

 

RE:  PERMISSION TO RIDE WORK DURING HIS PERIOD OF SUSPENSION – JOCKEY T.S. JODHA:

 

The Stewards at their meeting held on 27th August 2005 having considered a mercy petition from Jockey T.S. Jodha decided to permit him to ride work w.e.f 28th August 2005.

 

RE: ALLEGED ACCEPTANCE/LAYING OF ILLEGAL RACE BETS BY MR. KISHORE C. VOHRA AND MR. VALCHAND BHANDHARI ON 23RD FEBRUARY 2005 AT THE MUMBAI RACE COURSE (MYSORE RACE DAY) :

 

The Stewards at their meeting held on 27th August 2005 interviewed Mr. Kishore C. Vohra, resident of   1/11 Vaibhav Apartment, Sangaria Street, LBS Marg, Ghatkopar (West) Mumbai 86. and not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by him decided to exclude him from the premises of the RWITC Ltd., w.e.f 28th August 2005 to 26th August 2010.
