RACE NO.10 - THE MINSKY PLATE
- (About 1000 Meters -
Runners: 12)

|
QUEEN RUBY (Vikram Walkar)
was hanging out throughout the race and while negotiating the final bend it
further drifted out and finished the race on the Outer River Sand Track.
Trainer Ivor Fernandes has been advised to take remedial measure before
next accepting to race with the filly.

|
|
After the race, SECRET
SORTIE was observed to have an abrasion on right hind fetlock.
|
|
|
|
RACE NO.11. THE ALBERTINI PLATE (ABOUT 1000 Meters - Runners: 11)
|
|
|
|
Trainer C. D. Katrak has
been fined Rs.2000/- for failing to seek prior permission for his rider,
Jockey R. Biramne, to carry 3 kg overweight on his charge HOPE SPRING’S.
Jockey Biramne was not permitted to ride and was replaced with Jockey J.
Chinoy. On enquiring, Jockey Biramne admitted having confirmed to the
Trainer that he would not carry weight, thinking that he was accepting a
ride in Terms Maiden race. Jockey R. Biramne has been fined Rs.1000 for his
lapse in not informing the weight at which he would ride.

THUNDERING STAR (Satish
Nayak) hung in under pressure in the straight. Trainer Narendra Lagad has
been advised to take remedial measures before next accepting to race with
the gelding.
|

|
|
After the race, BLAINE was observed
to have an abrasion on right canon.

|

RACE NO.12. THE SQUANDERER TROPHY (ABOUT 1000 Meters - Runners: 6)

|
After the race, STAR WISH
was observed to have an abrasion on his right fore pastern.
|
|
|
|
RACE NO.13. THE ROSE OF SHIRAZ PLATE - DIV.I - (ABOUT 1400
Metres - Runners: 10)
|
|
|
|
Due to mechanical failure
of the Starting gates, there was a false start in this race. The runner
were recalled and were given a restart.
|
|
|
|
RACE NO.14. THE ROSE OF SHIRAZ PLATE - DIV.II (ABOUT 1400 Metres - Runners: 10)
|
|
|
|
Approaching the 200 mts.
LAPWING (Anil Baandal) shifted in under use of the whip with the Jockey
making no effort to correct his actions and caused severe interference to
GENEROUS GREY (Samuel Fargeat). Jockey Anil Baandal has been reported to
the Stewards for careless riding.

|
|
|
SHADOWFAX (I. Shaikh) and
SUPER STRIKE (Nirmal Jodha) trailed the field.
|
|
|
|
After the race, SEAPORT was
observed to have an abrasion on his right hind pastern.
|
|
|
|
After the race, SHADOWFAX
was observed to have lost his left fore shoe.
|

RACE NO.15. THE AUGUST HANDICAP (ABOUT 1400 Metres - Runners: 12)
|
|
|
|
ASIATIQUE (C. Ruzaan) was
very reluctant to be stalled inspite of all efforts, as such the filly was withdrawn
before coming under Starter’s order. Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to
give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the
Starter at the morning starting trials before accepting to race with her.

Near 1200 meters, RUCHITA
(Zameer Sayyed) received interference due to a tightly packed field.
|
|
|
|
Jockey Zameer Sayyed
(RUCHITA – Unplaced) failed to weighin in an “all weigh” race. As such
Jockey Zameer Sayyed has been fined Rs.1000/- for his carelessness.

|
|
|
|
RACE NO.16. THE AKKASAHEB MAHARAJ TROPHY - (ABOUT 1200 Metres - Runners: 9)
|
|
|
|
EXPLODING WONDER (S.S.
Baria, dr.4) after the jump out shifted towards the outside and set a chain
reaction and forced ANTARTIC ZONE (Vikram Walker, dr.5) to shift in on to
GREAT STRIDES (B. Prakash, dr.6) who in turn went on to RAPIER (C. Ruzaan)
and bumped SHYBOY (M. Narredu). Jockey S.S. Baria has been fined Rs.1000/-
for failing to exercise proper control over his mount at the start.

Trainer Vinayak has been
fined Rs.1000/- for failing to inform regarding the use of Pacifiers on his
charge HAWKE BAY (P. Kamlesh). The horse raced with Pacifiers.
|
|
|
|
After the race, it was
observed that RAPIER was found to be sore by right fore leg. The gelding
has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before accepting him to race.

|

RACE NO.17.THE MOOSA M. HOOSEIN PLATE - (ABOUT 1200 Metres - Runners: 17)
|
|
|
|
Soon
after the start, NO TIME (Samuel Fargeat, dr. 14) shifted in and forced
SILVER TULIP (C. Rajendra) to shift in. Jockey Samuel Fargeat has been
cautioned for not maintaining a straight course.
|
|
|
|
Approaching
800 meters, SWIFT SWORD (Vikram Walkar) shifted in and forced CONVENIENCE
(P. Belose) to shift in and hampered the running of CORNELIA SUPRA (S.N.
Chavan) who in turn caused interference to JERICHO (J Chinoy). Jockey
Vikram Walkar has been fined Rs.1000/ for failing to exercise proper
control over his mount.

Near
800 meters, SHEEN FALLS (Vikram Jodha) shifted in and forced SWIFT SWORD
(Vikram Walkar) to shift in and cause interference to CONVENIENCE (P.
Belose). Jockey Vikram Jodha has been fined Rs. 1000/ for failing to exercise
proper control over his mount.

Near
700 meters, NO TIME (Samuel Fargeat) shifted in on to ROYAL MARCH (B.
Prakash) forcing the filly to shift in and cause interference to CONSTANTIA
(J. Pradeep) and CORNELIA SUPRA (S.N. Chavan). Jockey Samuel Fargeat has
been fined Rs.3000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

Samples of urine of
the winners of the 2nd, 3rd, 7th and 9th
races, viz CASTLE CREEK, SECRET WARRIOR, ROSENKAVALIER and
HAWKEBAY and respectively, as also that of
RAPIER (9th race) were
sent for analysis.
