Before being stalled, CRY OF
TRUTH (F. Irani – dr.3) was observed to have splayed its left fore plate, as
such the filly was withdrawn before coming under Starter’s Orders. |

The
Sr. V.O. reported that, Trainer D.J. Surti had declared the shoeing on his
charge MONEY STREAM as Steel, left fore high heel. On examination it was
found to have Steel, both hind bare. As such, Trainer D.J. Surti has been
fined Rs.1,000/- for declaring incorrect shoeing thereby contravening the
Calendar Notification. |

At the request of Trainer Robert
D’Mellow, RAIN CLOUD was examined by the Club Sr. V.O. at 11.00 a.m. on 16th
April 2005 and found to be go short, having a painful swelling on the left
hind fetlock, as such the gelding was certified unfit to race and the gelding
was withdrawn from the race on veterinary ground. The gelding has to be
passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting with him to race. |

CARRIE (R. Shelar) planted in
its stall, taking no practical part in the race. As the gelding had behaved
in a similar manner in her earlier start this season, Tr. Ivor Fernandes has
been asked to show her to the satisfaction of the Starter in a mock race,
before accepting with her to race. |

In the final stages of the race
RONALDINHO (N. Rawal) shifted out and hampered the running of COLOUR OF JOY
(P.S. Chouhan). Jockey N. Rawal has been cautioned for failing to exercise
proper control over his mount. |

After the race, RUSHING RIVER was observed to have an abrasion
on the right hind fetlock. |

TARAS
BULBA was examined after the race and found to be sound. The filly had a wolf
tooth on the left side. |

|
After being stalled, PURSUIT OF POWER (R. Shelar – dr.7) started
lashing kicks onto the rear gates, on examination by the Club’s V.O. it was
found that the filly had sustained bleeding injuries on both the stifles and
on the right elbow, as such the filly was withdrawn before coming under
Starter’s order. Considering this behaviour of the filly, Trainer Ivor
Fernandes has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show to her
to the satisfaction of the Starter at the morning Starting trails, before
accepting with her to race. |

Jockey C Rajendra (HUGO BOSS)
was observed to have used his whip inn excess of the prescribed limit (9
times). Since the horse was hanging in and the whip was used in excess of the
prescribed limit as a corrective measure, no action was initiated against the
Jockey. |

|
SEE THE TRUTH (Aadesh Kumar),
SILKEN SUNRISE (Malcolm Kharadi) and SUMMIT (Amyn Merchant) hung-out in the
straight. Trainers Anil Kumar, S.K. Sunderji and Asad Ali have been advised
to take remedial measures before next accepting with them to race. |

Stewards interviewed Trainer Dallas Todywalla and Jockey V. Kotwal and after
considering their submissions, the Stewards were not satisfied with the
explanation tendered by Jockey V. Kotwal and resolved to suspend his Jockey’s
License from 28th April 2005 to 1st May 2005 (both days
inclusive) for Incompetent riding on his mount. (Permitted to ride work/ Mock
race). |
